If you take the approach of gardening with nature not against it, it becomes easier. Weeds = volunteer flowers. 'Pests' = wildlife and a sign of a healthy ecosystem - and we're part of that ecosystem, not separate to it.

I didn't realise the Imagine Peace was Yoko Ono. Thanks for that info. Heartwood is small but definitely punches above its weight. I loved it. Been meaning to come through and see it since before Xmas.

I'm constantly on the lookout in charity shops for 'Bottersnikes and Gumbles' and 'Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh' for similar reasons. I could buy new copies, but that doesn't feel quite right...
