I'm sorry if that happened to you. My 'leftist' friends and I did our best to use reason,kindness to change minds. Meanwhile, a lot of 'rightists' outright mocked me when I never even started up a convo with them. Yes, I walked away in disgust, not to mock the other side, but to refuse to be mocked.
