I voting for Skip - NDP #LetsgoOilers

Not really a hockey fight when the shirts are on. #stanleycup

Fire Sweeney.

Wonderful, thought provoking, engaging, I learned how little I knew about the when, where, how of the holocaust - particular in Eastern Europe.

Meh. You should never have married the guy, let alone stayed with him.

This guy consistently posts songs with incredible lyrics mere hours after events unfurl. This was a good one.

must be incredibly frustrating and disheartening to have federal funding that was promised to you for important work suddenly and arbitrarily ripped away

Come by and check out some cool science with Daniel and Jack! 002 and 086 #asms2025

I will always have a soft spot for MALDI #ASMS2025 Bruker Breakfast Seminar

Thrilled to see this acknowledgment of my mentor and PhD supervisor at #ASMS2025 I used to joke that if I showed resolution of 100 Don would call it 10 and Marvin Vestal would call it 1000. Not a good career move for Don - BUT his contributions to MS - including successful trainees is huge.

#ASMS2025 Is it me or are all the vendors spending $$ on expensive video productions in lieu of swag for customers.

#ASMS2025 Today come by poster MP410 to hear about Matterworks and what AI can do for MSMS data.

Even when it was never meant to be share - Joan Didion can write so well. Though it does not come out in the title this book is very much about mothering.

Just had a weird realization that I was once picked up at this airport by Bob Cotter (it was 1998 - he met me at the gate!) and another time by Al Yergey. They were both wonderful men who inspired me to grow in mass spec. On the 1st trip Bob introduced me to the wonderful Amina Woods. RIP X 3

#ASMS2025 I’m on my way to Baltimore! Thrilled to be speaking at the Metabolomics breakout session at tomorrow’s Thermo User’s Meeting. @matterworks.bsky.social has 13 posters - many with our wonderful collaborators! DM to meet up for questions - or leave a message at Booth 335!

Today, our client Rümeysa Öztürk was released on bail from ICE detention in Louisiana, and she will return to New England to continue her studies. 📸 Giancarlo D’Agostaro

Progress is good, inequality is bad - you can’t have one with out the other - so what is the balance? Enjoyed immensely - even when I disagreed.

“The pope will be from Chicago” sounds like an 1880s Republican’s dire prediction for if we don’t stop Irish immigration

Quick question for #teammassspec. In the past referencing the “Proceeding of 65th Conference of ASMS” was not abnormal - is that still done or has it gone the way of the paper proceedings book and the 2 page abstract?

Thoughtfully written. Commercialization of surveillance equipment developed in the defense sector isn’t necessarily a good thing for anyone but those who profit from it.

Breaking News: Canada’s Liberal Party is projected to win, electing Mark Carney, who ran on an anti-Trump platform, as prime minister. nyti.ms/4308UmS

Human Rights Watch - why it does what it does. Enjoyable and thoughtful.

As someone who has worked in newborn screening, I am cannot express how insane this decision is. Newborn screening doesn’t just save lives, it enables people to have normal lives. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...

Eye opening. I know a lot of the pit falls (and strengths) of AI and people are rushing its use into places where it is a mistake.

Wow! What a great book.

Adorable. The Boston ducks have protest signs #handsoff

I kind of want to go

As a dual citizen I can’t help but find deep irony in the fact that as Trump places tariffs on countries so that American’s buy American - I have yet to see a single movement about buying American. Meanwhile in Canada, the “Buy Canadian” movement has become a big thing.

p2a.co/1gzPVYl Please share your support for the National Endowment for the Humanities. These cuts affect the National History Day program (recipient of the grand sum of $330k) - which both my daughters have learned so much from. We need future historians to put the current mess in context.

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/01/w... Beautiful photography which captures life in Saint John NB - and discusses the strangely large power the Irving’s have in NB.

From “Time Shelter” by Georgi Gospodinov - and the actual description is about Bulgaria - but in this little paragraph one fines a brilliant description of how “MAGA” misuses the definition of “Again”.

On a daily basis, I marvel at how many people in putative positions of power are willing to help obliterate American democracy. The US has faced a series of very easy moral tests in the past decade and it’s staggering how often people in once-respected positions have failed.

The glory days of indie rock led to the rise of an astonishing number of female song writers and female centric bands - L7 and Hole stand out - the rise of Clear Channel and 9/11 killed them. Lots of great interviews - not enough acknowledgement of the 80s - esp. punk and the GoGos and Sinead.
