These people chose to do this, regardless of how much good work some might have achieved in the past, they sold that out for Bezos clout and vanity... Yikes indeed

Yikes, hope everything works out. Feels like creeps and pests are emboldened at the moment, they were already a menace before...

I'll take three of those cocktails, just pour them into a big glass with a straw and I go drink it in a dark corner, occasionally flipping between cackling and crying as I talk to the ghost of Simone de Beauvoir about fascism

I always feel an amount of discomfort when anyone lumps a large group of diverse people, opinions and beliefs together as the "left". There's no blob, that's a right wing media confection. What you're seeing is people having personal reactions based on reasons that don't fit neatly into posts

You just know EV was taunting GNK droids at every opportunity before Jabba hired them...

The slimy orange MF'er would probably take credit for that, but I suspect he stumbled on to that as a way to cheat the system. Creatures like him tend to operate like that...

That looks like an Audrey or maybe a Mable. Timelessly beautiful with an old timey and classic name 😁

I just can't enjoy a film that seems to let Georgiou so lightly off the hook when there's people in the real world who are also being let off the hook and the anger I feel over one extending to the other. This isn't the utopia we want and it's not the gritty reality we should settle for.

I've said in some writings, that star trek is developing a gen*cide denial problem. It started in DS9 as an uncomfortable problem within the narrative, but it's now a major issue in its ethos. Where Georgiou represents a "necessary evil" alongside Section 31.

So, here's the thing, Georgiou is a gen*cidal monster right? But the end of the film we are supposed to see her as a vanguard of the federation in a secret police organisation having drinks and laughing. It's like seeing Netanyahu in the same role, I can't ignore that. It's really uncomfortable

Who would dare blaspheme against her high holiness, the Divine Dolly Parton. Now I need to go cleanse my spirit of such ill things with a dozen "Hail Dolly"s and a rewatch of 9 to 5.

This is a really difficult thing to have to go through, I hope you have a lot of support and I hope you find the beauty in yourself that everyone who watches and enjoys your content can see.

I think star trek holds something for so many, but it'll never be everything to everyone. I'm ok with that. My criticisms are mostly throw away stuff, if people love section 31 then I hope they get more of it. I keep the bits I love about star trek where I need them most 😊

The Hutts do have sexy voices, I'm sure Jabba recorded some smooth tunes in their younger days 😁

I hope people do enjoy it and ignore any reviews that will make them unhappy, but it's hard to ignore what section 31 is to the ethos and tone of Star Trek. It turns the whole franchise into Omelas, with the once peaceful future being secured by violence, deceit and a lack of trust.

I wanted to dislike it and I did, because secret police and "necessary evil, for utopia" isn't star trek. It's Mass Effect adjacent, who arguably did a better job with spectres. I wish the Star Trek IP would be given a rest for a bit, let ideas cook and let writers actually plan things out.

I thought that was homemade bread for a moment, I was thinking "first attempts are always tricky" then read the post and laughed. Your mum sounds awesome. All you need is a fabulous handbag with good swinging straps to put that in and your ready for a Marsha march 😁

What's just as grotesque is the cheering on in some circles for the world's first trillionaire 🤮 Saw a post on LinkedIn not long ago talking about how "epic" such a thing would be. I hope I never see that, what further horrors inflicted on the world would be needed to achieve that....

It's funny how the author of that post forgot that communists got into space first and America only got to the moon by competing with them. Honestly, without communism we'd never have gotten to the moon because it wouldn't be profitable, then capitalists came along, stole it and gatekept it...

I get wing whipped all the time, pigeons hold grudges too. My advice is to let them enact their vengeance upon you as soon as possible, the longer you wait the more sinister they become with it 😂

I can only speak on behalf of pigeon people, but we can tell someone has gone too far when they start getting angry about Prague Short-Faced Tumblers and the wild v domestic stuff....

The "TestoRoidRage Alpha Plus - No Soy" (may contain soy) gang will arrive to explain how rubbing raw ginseng on their delicate bits & sprinkling powdered bone broth on their eyes or something etc helps them stay "peak". Honestly, they are funny to listen to, I'm also sad they are being manipulated

The best thing about those types of plant, they sit on the sil looking great but very green, then boom bright colours erupt and your day feels a little bit more awesome.
