And when you've gone through the whole Big Thief catalog, check the solo albums from their singer Adrianne Lenker. Love her.

Maybe it just takes time to get to the "new stuff".

But today. Right now. I'm giving THRAK a new listen. And wow god damn. This one is really good. Six talented musicians playing together, mixed so you can hear all of them doing their thing. And the songs are also really good.

When I was a kiddo King Crimson was my favorite band. Nowadays I still listen to the best ones every now and then: Red, Discipline, and Larks' Tongues in Aspic. I kind of never really liked their 90's material.

Yeah, I was figuring for myself is it the latest or Utility, that is the greatest Barker. They're both great, but very different.

Is it this or is it the Utility? Both are great.

She had such a tragic life. During the recording sessions of this album, she was drinking vodka like water. But man, when she starts to sing, she can really make the tension. Here's a good version: www.highdeftapetransfers.ca/products/lad...

Hey please stop. This is worthless fear mongering and I'm not biting. Please base your messages on proper research and technical details.

I think this discussion is not going anywhere and we should just end it.

Did you read the article I posted? It's a pretty technical, deep dive into the security of Signal. From a security researcher I trust and appreciate. And yes, I do donate for Signal monthly.

Yeah. I am a late bloomer with KotH. I watched it in the 90s, but only when rewatching a few years back I "got it", and it became one of my favorite series.

Kind of, yes.

Can you elaborate? Some of the points, such as the jurisdiction do not matter that much for an open source app. Threema also costs money. A good review on Signal security: soatok.blog/2025/02/18/r...

Only now and not when they took an investment from a Russian bank?

I should invest in the companies renting these.

Like, I get it if there's somebody working in construction. But I never see anybody doing anything. Then years after they disappear only to appear somewhere else nearby.

The biggest thing I've vibe coded was a docker compose file for Kafka without Zookeeper and all auth options enabled. Took the whole day to get there, but definitely much more fun than doing it by myself.

Next step: Kaizo?

Can we get these in Germany? Another country where people spontaneously combust if they taste anything scharf...

Thank you for mentioning this album. Got it to my library when I saw you talking about it, but only today I listened to the whole Point album during my morning run. Wow.

The Christeene & Peaches cover of Troy is also amazing. If you can catch their live show, go see.

Have to say #nats is so much easier and nicer to setup.

If you ever needed to do anything with Kafka, setting it up like this SUCKS. It's really annoyingly hard to make it work as you want. The logs are spammy and not always helpful. It has what, five different ways to connect... #Zed with Claude 4 took its time, but it finally got into a good solution.

All of these compilations are some of the best German electronic music. Love Perlon.
