The calmness and maturity displayed by Tehran in this crisis makes an appalling contrast to the unstable lunacy of Israel and the US.

Under pressure from inspectors and her own analysts, she later admitted the evidence was “incomplete,” but by then the damage was done. On June 21, Trump and Netanyahu spoke privately. No transcript exists.

Yes - profits used to benefit the country I suppose middle east countries all appear to do this - use profits to build infrastructure, a little more civilised than just selling off oil fields to the super rich and then, ultimently allowing them to buy democracies www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016...

I can't claim always to have got it right. Some cases are complicated and hard to navigate, especially when they're surrounded by a maze of propaganda. But we should try as hard as we can to find our way through them, setting loyalties aside in favour of consistent moral principles.

That can cause you a bundle of trouble, as partisans of one side or another will see you as their enemy if you condemn the actions of their team. But moral consistency is something we should strive for, and never more urgently than when it comes to aggressive war.

Being consistent on this point means putting aside all loyalties and enmities, which I recognise is not always easy. It meant opposing the wars against Afghanistan and Iraq and Israel's attacks on the Palestinians, but also Assad's war against the Syrian people and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

It must also be understood in the context of European settler colonialism founded on erasure of Indigenous peoples and backed by the Doctrine of Discovery. There's no difference between terra nullius and "a land without people". The foundation is racism for the purposes of dispossession and erasure.

Anti-war stance is also dividing MAGA. Reaching left IS the winning vote. Standing for something wins you votes. But asking the old Dems to wake the fuck up seems to be entirely too much wishful thinking. Standing for nothing let's your opponent define you, Do-nothings.

So basically a lying psychotic narcissistic megalomaniac can spend the people of the US's money supporting a psychotic war criminal who is committing genocide and who has nuclear weapons in bombing a country without nuclear weapons. How come Israel's murdering madman is allowed nuclear weapons?

This so called enrichment approach has been monitored for about 25 years - if Iran wanted to develop a nuclear bomb it could have done so many years ago - after all it's a 1940's technology. Meanwhile Israel is bombing schools and hospitals in Gaza claiming terrorists whilst killing children.

The USA has become an absolute shit hole. And dares say that Iran is an autocratic regime. God help us all.
