100% accurate. It shook me to the point where I had trouble eating and sleeping two days following my initial viewing. Meanwhile a close friend of mine watched it, and called me while he was staring wide eyed at a wall for an hour. Incredible film, but dang...it pulled no punches.

which is why both the later self-released VIP mix, and the DnB Drive version on "Legacy" both still contain a "Magic Inside" segment lol. Such a throwback! I remember exactly what it was like making this one! The original version had a melodic rock-based edit of "The Magic Inside" in the breakdown which I was told had to be removed. I had to scramble last minute to replace it with more chops, and it barely got accepted on the album,

were VERY different than what was recorded, (and then sadly were never used in production) It almost seems like it could be from either Shinji's perspective about Asuka, or Asuka's perception about herself. As for Komm Susser Tod, It almost feels like it could either be from Shinji, Rei, or even

Very interesting theory, but I'm not so personally sure...after all, Rei (the soul of Lilith) chose Shijni to control instrumentality instead of Gendo, likely because she thought Shinji would be more inclined to reject it in the end. The original lyrics Anno wrote for "Everything you ever dreamed"
