Once I got into the publishing business, I could understand why. I get far few sales, due to the high price, than my other books, and the profit on each sale is significantly lower.
Still, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't change it.

Just as a side note, I stopped querying and decided to publish it myself after going to a writers conference, and meeting a whole bunch of agents who told me the same reason I was getting zero response: At 213k works, it was just too long. Nobody wanted to take a chance on a debut novel that length.

I started querying Yellow Tape and Coffee after I'd finished making all the edits after I got feedback from my beta readers. Even then, I was still making some minor tweaks throughout while querying.

One of the questions there is if you're a member of the "mile high club."
What would we call the equivalent in a spaceship?
Del, by the way, got a 34.
Lots of things she hasn't done, isn't interested in, or are obsolete by her time.

I can easily live without the semicolon. I very rarely use it outside of Perl, which I almost never write in anymore.
The exclamation mark I use almost exclusively in corporate messages, for some reason. And the dash only in personal messages. I can live without any of them, really.

There's a whole series in Doonesbury about exactly this from, I think, the late 80s, where JJ is hired to decorate his yacht.

Awesome!
I loved that story in comic form, and I'll totally be getting this. Do you know/Can you say what parts he'll be voicing?

Are spears Blunt Weapons, though? That's the only weapon skill I see under Major Skills. Is there a Pointy Weapon skill you can put there instead? Or maybe use a staff?

That sounds like a great setup for a short story! (Though it's possible Stephen King has already written it. :)
