Maybe I should start looking at it as a modern version of a rubber duck π€ I can use it for explaining my thoughts with some feedback that could be mostly ignored but still having possibility to keep "discussion" going without looking weird because I am talking to myself π

Exactly the same experience I have. Trying it over and over again and just once I got some meaningful results when I asked it to generate tests. Probably I am not good at telling it what I want.

I guess that is also a reason why there are no upgrade instructions. Huge amount of essential changes have to be made in order to migrate applications to the new version.
I think Phoenix needs more stability without such a huge turns with every release.
