Literally repeating Trump rhetoric from this week.

NYT: “If you saw all this in any other country — soldiers sent to crush dissent, union leaders arrested, opposition politicians threatened — it would be clear that autocracy had arrived.” 😳🇺🇸 www.nytimes.com/2025/06/09/o...

Biden is Better‼️

A very pragmatic reason for Canada to move away from/minimize the purchase of US weapon systems like the F35 All critical maintenance and upgrades are controlled and performed by the US We have seen the way the US now negotiates It is a huge risk that the US would withhold to “negotiate”

I like that it bugs you so much, and that you're so buried by your own ignorance of what you're talking about that you have to project opinions onto me instead of dealing with the fact that your claim about 'subservience' was bullshit. Have a nice day.

This is EXCELLENT news. So here for Canada becoming a place where science and innovation is not only welcome but encouraged AND given great opportunities for funding. #Canada #CanadaStrong #Elbowsup #Europe

A prematurely smug Conservative troll (echoing a prematurely smug Conservative leader) challenged me to update my chart from last year regarding the non-relationship between the carbon price and inflation. OK, let's do it. #cdnecon #canlab /2

Toughly worded joint statement by Canada, France, UK decries "egregious actions" committed by "the Netanyahu Government" in Gaza and calls for an immediate halt to military operations and for humanitarian aid to be allowed to enter the strip. Warns of "further concrete actions" if Israel goes ahead

Wow! Pierrasite Poilievre spent more than Prime Minister Justin Trudeau & NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh combined in 2024. This is the same con man that has been telling Canadians that the liberal government hasn't been fiscally responsible, yet has no issue squatting at Stornaway on the taxpayers dime.

You mean he's not a lemming, a mindless drone, and sheeple. God forbid there are people in a governing caucus, let alone cabinet, with brains of their own.

Including Erskine-Smith in the cabinet was a basic litmus test that Mark Carney failed today.

Never before has a Canadian politician shared so much disinformation unchecked. Not one so-called journalist has called Pierre Poilievre out on his lies, or questioned his ties to Canada Proud, who ran disinformation campaigns targeting his opponent.

Why is there no media coverage of Andrew Scheer, an American, appointed interim CPC leader. Have they missed the fact that the US is threatening Canada?

I’m so sick of the “All Albertans” takes I’m seeing… “[All] Albertans are stupid, want to separate, etc.” A third of the electorate (34%) voted for either the Liberals or the NDP in the 2025 federal election. enr.elections.ca/Provinces.as...

If I'm Carney I put one stipulation on calling an early by-election to accommodate double loser Pierre Poilievre, he must gets a security clearance. Should he decide he doesn't want one, it's his choice to stay out of Parliament. It's a reasonable ask. #cdnpoli

Pierre Poilievre in a nutshell. If ever there was a case to drain the swamp...

Electoral interference doesn't just apply to China, Russia, or India. The USA is the greatest enemy to democracy in the world right now.

Certain partisans have been citing Canada's performance on per capita GDP as evidence of a supposed 'lost decade' and economic mismanagement. In @irpp.org's Policy Options, I deconstruct this arbitrary and misleading statistic, in two parts. #cdnecon #cdnpoli. /2

I cannot this repeat often enough, but STOP LOOKING TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO SOLVE PROVINCIAL PROBLEMS! Federalism doesn't work like that. Dangling more money won't solve problems, and may in fact make things worse. HOLD THE GODS DAMNED PREMIERS TO ACCOUNT!

No security clearance? Then no voting clearance from me. Surrounding yourself with our flags doesn't change that. "Among opposition party leaders, Poilievre is alone in refusing to apply for a security clearance." #CanadaStrong #canpoli #cdnpoli thewalrus.ca/poilievres-r...

Pierre Poilievre is in Halifax this morning, where he’s once again mischaracterizing a report about a “terrifying” future as a prediction rather than an exploration. He’s done this three days in a row now.

Think about the credibility Mark Carney has internationally, and how effectively after becoming Prime Minister he established smart, strategic ties with Europe and other parts of the world. Think about the leadership he can provide internationally. Now picture “Canada First” Poilievre trying that.

The Conservative plan is out and, ooof, is this costing a disaster. There's a whole bunch of phantom revenues booked here, and the GST housing pledge is costed at under $2B. Given their proposed eligibility criteria, it should be more in the 4-6B range.

Pierre Poilievre still hasn’t released a costed platform — and his promises add up to $140 billion in cuts to the services Canadians rely on. Meanwhile, Mark Carney has released a clear, fully costed plan to build the strongest economy in the G7. 💪 🔗 More info: bit.ly/3ExsDlp

Here are Debt/GDP ratios for three scenarios: 1--PBO baseline. 2--LPC platform (costed by themselves) 3--CPC platform (costed by LPC) I'll happily update with CPC platform numbers if CPC releases them. But until then it doesn't seem fair that they escape scrutiny. So, I'll go with what I have.

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism. If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone. Americans of conscience must stand against this now.
