I am sorry, but saying it and regretting it later is nothing but White privilege. Both acts. observer.co.uk/news/politic...

This is terrible, trying to catch players at their most vulnerable emotional state. Someone did say that the media is like sharks in the water. www.bbc.com/sport/footba...

Politics is not a game. It's people's lives. The Government's welfare cuts will have a catastrophic impact on the sick & disabled, and plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty. It's simple: show some humanity and drop this Bill, now.

Iain Gillespie was brought in from Leicester University. The wonderful merry go round of incompetent professional University bosses. www.bbc.com/news/live/c1...

We are hiring! Fully tenured associate professorship in environmental history! We are looking for someone who can be a strong contributor to the history group, to a new #envhum related MA program (if all goes well), and to @greenhouseuis.net. #envhist

In my experience, it's usually 2 to 1 & 1/2 years from first draft of a book manuscript to publication (this can varydepending on many factors such as quality if 1st draft, review process...) and 1 year from final mss submission to book. Is that a common experience?

Sea bass in lemon and butter sauce, with cherry tomatoes for that extra burst of sour sweetness. My creation! (not very original, I'no!)

The important thing for Londoners to note about New York's (hopefully) future mayor is that Mamdani is an Arsenal fan.

Three finest accomplishment (the only three) of Northern India are: kababs, samosas, and mangoes.

US politics really confuses me. Silly me thought Mamdani would be the next Mayor of NYC. Turns out he's only the Dem. candidate, the real thingy is in Nov '25. Why such a lengthy and layered process? Must be costing a lot of money and taking up so much time. Just get on with it!

Good to be in NYC right now!!
