In my experience, it's usually 2 to 1 & 1/2 years from first draft of a book manuscript to publication (this can varydepending on many factors such as quality if 1st draft, review process...) and 1 year from final mss submission to book. Is that a common experience?

US politics really confuses me. Silly me thought Mamdani would be the next Mayor of NYC. Turns out he's only the Dem. candidate, the real thingy is in Nov '25. Why such a lengthy and layered process? Must be costing a lot of money and taking up so much time. Just get on with it!
