We are Primary Divisions. We work to make the Democratic Party more robustly left wing by encouraging and supporting primaries for shitty dems in safe blue seats across the nation from Dogcatcher to President.

You know I was on the fence about this Chuck Schumer guy until my good friend Chuck Schumer spook up in his defense. I think what he says about his own motivations is DEFINITELY trustworthy

I did say relatively, lol. But yeah, the senate by nature will be hostile turf until DC becomes a state and really even after.

Cool, thanks for adding to the conversation.

Dark thought; it's very possible that by the time trump is finished with the economy people will be jumping at the chance to have a minimum of four years in a stable job with good benefits. It's difficult to predict.

that's the part that isn't highly fixable. But simply turning the money back on? Yes that part is easy and won't take a lot of fuss. I also think that another element that will be hard to fix is the trust in the institutions. Why would I risk my career on President Skeletor not happening in 4 years.

flip right back on under any dem president that isn't Fetterman tier and maybe even then.

The fact of the matter is that we need to understand that, while destructive, Trump's deconstruction of the admin state is VERY fixable. He can't permanently switch off the admin state without congress and that hasn't happened yet. It will take time to replace the individuals lost but the funds will

Not to relate everything to fiction but I'm reminded of a quote from ASOIAF. Stannis is making Davos the hand of the king even though he's lowborn and Davos says the lord's won't obey him. Stannis replies "Then we will make new lords". Point being if the politicians don't obey us we make new ones.

Even as a man, when I say I agree with the principles of feminism to my dude friends they'll be like "why though?". And I run in fairly left circles by and large. I guess I should say I'm a feminist with my chest and all but even something as light as that is met with skepticism.

That's valid. Very understandable. I just think it would be a really narrow thing to win the EC and lose the house. So not like impossible, just a small percentage of possibilities. Which to be fair, we should be prepared for that.

I think that, while yes the past two months have been incredibly shit from congressional dem leadership, this type of nothing ever matters we're doomed no matter who wins both-sides shit from people like him is just as harmful. There are dems who can and do make a difference.

If dems win the white house there's no world where they don't have the House. Senate is a bit trickier but relatively friendly in 2028.

Absolutely yes.

The ones who want to help others are extremely limited in number but they do exist. I'm not worried about them getting tossed out even if we primary everyone. They're fighters and they'll win. Everyone else? Fuckem.

Genuinely think there is a growing divide in the Dem party between those who want power for the sake of power and those who want power to help others. Not naive enough to think anyone doesn't want power that is in national politics it's just all in how they want to use that power.

Entryism is a whole hell of a lot easier than building a new party from scratch. Make them work for us.
comment in response to

Absolutely. None of them will though so all of them are. Primary every last one of them.

Rhode Island, Virginia, Delaware, and Illinois are BEGGING for a primary challenge to the incumbents. Colorado is up there too.

What I'm afraid of is that the dipshit caucus is so large that it will outvote any splintered attempts to force him out. That said, maybe Murray or someone is agreeable to enough people?

along with half or more of the safe blue seat dems yeah. But him and Durbin especially.

is a critical one, because most people won't admit to being democratic here. It would only get you ostracized at best. So allowing the people of massively red districts to interact with a real life dem, for the first time for many is incredibly useful.
