Amazing, thank you! While the success rate may be similar today, many more are attempting thru-hikes. Technology, beyond navigation, access to weather and communication have changed. We have ultra-light gear, comfortable wool that drys fast, better shoes and trail angels. He had it rough!

Yes, but with the overall age of this liner there are multiple weak spots. Liners are not expensive.

I live near a state park that was once farms and a town now at the bottom of the lake. Mostly invasive stuff, although bloodroot, trout lilly, jack-in-the-pulpit and a few other native flowers can be found there. I love seeing them in nature. No trillium or lady slippers, which can grow around here

Any place that's a hiking spot is a hiking spot for a reason. Sounds like an opportunity to pick your spot and find your reason.

I wonder if it was lichen growing and someone just couldn't resist adding the pupils?

But that is editing that every photographer has done since the begging. My dad developed B&W photos on a darkroom in our basement. It's part of the technical skill of photography.

I admit, I have taken out some wrinkles on some YT thumbnails. But I'm not sure that's AI in the current form! πŸ™ƒ

I was hoping to see a fox that's been around. The deer were skittish.

Let it be known that I did not type, we're, I typed were. I don't know why my phone does this too me!!!! SERIOUSLY, I make enough spelling and gramatical errors without the help of my phone.

Do higher corporate taxes incentivise companies to spend more on research, even pay higher wages, because the increase in expenses lowers taxe rates? Aren't corporations part of the wealth redistribution fron poor to rich that we are talking about? Regressive tarrifs lack this incentive, no???

As a southeast PA-based section hiker, I've hiked most of it 4 or 5 times. I live in constant envy of other places people hike. It's a mentally exhausting pace to hike. Constant vigilance with every step.

Same mushrooms a few days later... OK, not sure the size difference shows.

Yes, the weather has been particularly challenging this spring; or perhaps it was unusually nice last year. Hope you are fully recovered soon. Thanks for watching!
