The speed at which the American press went from oposing tyranny to simping Trump in the span of last last 8 months is truly astonishing.

As if the west was afraid to apply any real pressure to Russia that would actually cripple it...

Looking at the opinion polls for future elections in Europe, I'm truly afraid we are sleepwalking into a disaster and most people will wake up too late into an awful reality where Russia will agressively try to expand across Europe. Only the will europeans wake up and realize it's their problem too.

It's not like there hasn't been coverage. The problem is that you can only maintain most people's attention for so long until they get apathetic towards the war when they aren't the ones dealing with its direct consequences and it just becomes another background voice.

Better be careful, they can go full teminator any minute.

Authoritarianism 101 going on here. Trump isn't delusional as many here seem to belive. He's perfectly aware of the economic shitshow he has unleashed and is trying to gaslight the entire nation to believe that everything is fine and unfortunately many of his followers will believe it.

Feels like Trump is the protagonist of one of those Kremlin funded popadantsy pulp novels. A russian time traveller from the future takes posession of the body of Donald Trump and turns history more favorable to Russia.

Apparently yes, they've upgraded the systems to be more resistant to electronic warfare. Still, it's likely a stopgap solution and Russians will eventually find a way to jam it. It will eventually be necessary to shift from GPS to other guidance methods more resistant to jamming.
comment in response to post
Would be much better if they'd start sending JSOWs instead. GPS munitions simply can't be guided at this point of the war due to the extensive use of electronic warfare equipment and it's important to start shifting to infared, laser, TERPROM and inertial guidance instead.

Let's be honest here, Trump will NEVER resume military aid to Ukraine. He's a useful idiot who will first and foremost drive Russian intrests and any deal made with him is ultimately just meant to benefit him and Russia at the cost of Ukraine.

Trump won the elections on the same issue he won them the last time, immigration. Last midterms clearly showed that Republicans couldn't win elections riding on transphobia alone.

Unsurprisingly we've been doing the same in Finland. While offically withdrawn from service and replaced by western models with the exception of few specialty vehicles, large numbers of ZIL-131:s are still kept in emergency reserve.

Are the russians gonna claim next that these bees came from Ukrainian biolabs?

Dissapointment was to be expected from the start, but today was a total shitshow even by Trump administration standards.

This whole decade has been nothing but one disaster after another with things getting worse each year. Can you remember the days when people thought COVID-19 is the worst thing that could happen this decade?
comment in response to post
The generation that fought for democracy is still around in Korea and there's no way in hell they are going to let their freedom slip away. In the west we become complacent in just a decade and have started to take our liberties for granted, no matter what type of authoritarian maniac takes power.

Here's a non-paywalled version of the story by United24: united24media.com/latest-news/...

I literally jumped out of bed after reading this on my phone and rushed to my computer only to find out it wasn't the russians getting blown up. What a fucking letdown.

Unfortunately this was an SAA ammo depot destroyed by IDF, not the Russian naval base.

I think I found the building where the footage was shot from. It's the first terminal pictured that was hit.
comment in response to post
I think it's actually one of these terminals in Oryol (liveuamap also claims so). That Orel on the map is nothing but forest.

Told you so

Yeah I saw it and it was cringe AF. I'm Glad I took a ton of screen caps of his embarrasing tweets during the offensive before the account was nuked. Here's one old tweet I hope he'd learn a lesson from now, wherever he may be.
comment in response to post
I hope it'll be true one day. Even as far fetched as that still is at this point. Balkanization of Russia is the only way to guarantee that yet another irridentist tyranny won't rise up in the east and every oblast outside Moscow doesen't have their wealth extracted in favour of the capital's needs

/sg/ and vatnik twitter experienced a near endless flood of tears last night.

It only gets better. Now he has somehow convinced himself he knew the outcome all along and said as much from the start. Truly olympic levels of mental gymnastics right here.
comment in response to post
In the end, he was the one who coped the hardest. Every retreat was tactical and caused damage to the rebels, Hama was a succesful trap and encirclement like Gostomel, every vatnik that dared to accept reality was a jew, Syria has nukes But it didn't matter He truly was the last baka of baathism.
comment in response to post
All these years we got to hear from Russians how all the atrocities they commited were CIA/SBU/Mossad false flags to implicate Russians. And just as always it was yet another Vatnik projection.
comment in response to post
I'm sure we'll soon get: 6: Syria was a trap all along, Russia won!
comment in response to post
It's only Cirnosad and his simps that belive in imminent baathist victory at this point. It's so fucking over.
comment in response to post
That's why we are in this platform to begin with, isn't it?
comment in response to post
Unfortunately they can't because despite all the pretense, it's not her real homeland. She is Australian born and raised.

Baathism now belongs in the trash can of failed ideologies.

The amount of vatnik cope going on at the moment on X is unreal. There are a bunch of vatniks who are convinced that Hama was surrounded by SAA paratroops last night and are laying siege to the city supposedly getting their source from a Assad affiliated telegram channel.
