Update: “Um, Dad, skibidi means wild and crazy. Sigma means awesome.” “Nope, I think you have that backwards!” we will be on the road for a few more weeks

backstory of the plywood described below: this was to cover broken tile until we could have our floor fixed so we didn’t step in it. we learned in November that our subfloor was damaged too, and when the contractor suggested using this plywood to replace it I smiled so big bsky.app/profile/prob...

this was the after party after the scheduled thing was done. local reports were that nearly 1K showed up. folks, that is legitimately cool in this town and I’m going to be heartened by that for a while

It’s always scary and hard to leave behind the comfortable for the better. But it’s always worth doing. At the end of the day, you’ve got Nik and Doodle, and everything else out is details that will work out. You’re doing great and you’ve got this!

::chuckles:: no, that can’t be right. 1995 was much more recent than that

this skeet isn’t gonna look so good when St. Peter prints it out poster size and shows it to you at the pearly gates!!!

this was a very very good entry, even grading on the curve of this excellent newsletter

at least a few of those dots are like a gas station and a fireworks stand and the 4 families that maintain them (and I believe that there will indeed be organized protests there), that’s pretty impressive

I think it’s neat how the columnist was all “if you don’t sell the toddlers to them, they’ll just source them from somewhere else”

did you know that multiple subs to ACBN has a cumulative effect? it’s true! the humorous content is additive by nature, and the more subs you have, the funnier it is

there are times where appealing to authority is good! this is probably one of those times!

strongly recommend fixed desktop in common home space, limited daily use, clear boundaries about what’s allowed, probs no unfettered internet access (only particular sites or YT channels or w/e). Can’t put it off forever, might as well have a slow ramp to good habits and choices imo. good luck!

Put a sunny side up egg on it. I’ll have planned for the yoke to run, which is why you, the brilliant chef, will have cooked it with a secret second yolk pocket which will burst at an unknowable time. I’ll be covered in yolk and like aioli or whatever

I want my burger to be a puzzle. I want to have to strategize around whether I’ll have to unhinge my jaw. Ideally, I’ll have a foolproof plan for how I’ll stay clean, and then my plan will fail *spectacularly*

there is literally one and only good thing about this, which is how this kind of thing surely makes DeWine vibrate with rage

“ok”? disgusting. I would never associate with someone who is too lazy to write out the word “okay.” honestly even that is far less preferable to the full and formal “okeley dokeley”
