This week was tough to get through, but it's Saturday and lovely in Connecticut, which is reviving. One simple joy this week was episodes of my fave pods!

A student told me she felt seen in my class and that it was the first time in her life that had happened.💜 The same day a participant in a training session I led a couple weeks ago emailed me to tell me how that session had an immediate impact in her life. 💜 It was an emotional day.

I see them in Hamden near QU regularly, it's very cool. I'm guessing they hang out at Sleeping Giant, but are hunting in the little rivers around there

I think, too, that a lot of us are wrestling with the reality of the violence and corruption and our own history of being taught the notion of police as protectors. Plus, when you know and love someone who is law enforcement (sibling), squaring the reality with that personal love is hard.

Far, far more than worthwhile, Dr. Kumanyika. Your story-telling is powerful because of the way you integrate the historical record and your lived experiences throughout the podcast. I listened in the car and often found myself sitting and waiting to finish in the parking lot.
