I have been here so many times. I once vowed that we were not allowed to see people anymore (like at all) because my niece sneezed on my baby's face.

The short answer is that its all you. We teach ourselves how to think and examine our thoughts every day all day long.
Our mind is not perfectly connected either so it is possible for one process to happen and you feel like you had no input or control over it.

Geese and Cameron Winter are worth it even late. If you do seriously want to be more in the loop on new music, I recommend frequently checking out pitchfork. Even if you don't like the website, they will still give you a heads up about new releases. It's how I found geese before Kimmel.

The entire Lumon argument is that being severed creates a unique individual. I personally see an argument for why someone who believed that would believe that it is creating an innocent aspect of yourself.

I was initially hesitant to even try avowed (and I have gamepass) until I overheard some specific critics I really like say they loved it. I was in the basic position you are describing until a trusted critic convinced me to try it.

Outer worlds was a miss for me. I felt like the story telling and writing was so flat. Avowed is not disappointing me so far.
I think that games coverage is different nowadays and even great games can fly under the radar.
