Plenty of research going on elsewhere. But, like religion, if ppl chose fantasy over science, then that’s up to them.

I’m happy for ppl to spend their time in artificial reality - means we can enjoy the real world with more room!

America is full of immigrants. Fact.
They arrived mostly in the second half of the 19C.

Oh, sorry, I missed that. Yup, it’s not right! I also felt a bit miffed seeing retired bankers step out of their range rovers to collect a bag of free prescriptions when I had to pay for every asthma inhaler while raising a family and servicing a huge mortgage.

State pension isn’t £35k a year. It’s just over 12k
comment in response to

Like I said, it’s easier to increase the state pension and claw back the additional from those earning over a certain amount.
The state pension is well below the minimum wage. How are pensioners going to survive?

Simply in ease pensions to cover cost of winter fuel and claw back in tax from rich pensioners.

Have you tried buying a house in the SE of England? No wonder ppl here don’t have much disposable income.

Affordable Housing is the most pressing issue for the country.
High housing costs sap trillions out of the economy for no increase in productivity. A 3 bed house today is no more productive than it was 60 years ago yet cost 50 times as much.
No hope of home ownership saps any sense of belonging.

With one of the stingiest state pensions in the developed world, I’m not sure about the claim you’re making.

Taking water companies back into public ownership isn’t the issue - it’s the cost of fixing them that is.

If wales hadn’t been part of the British empire, it wouldn’t have had it’s guaranteed overseas markets to sell coal to. This sort of nonsense is what makes you a laughing stock.

Well, Wales is part of the UK and the sovereign is not chosen. So on both counts you seem a little confused.

I seem to recall that Wales is part of the UK.
So, who ate the colonials? The Normans? The Celts? Maybe the Romans…

“What is owed”
If that is based on Wales’ contribution to GDP then I’d keep quiet.

Alternatively, he is just trying to get private investors to poor money into the water companies and then let them go bust. That way we get both the investment and the water companies back 🧐
