The British should not agree

Actually, the PM does. It’s just since Blair that PMs have sought parliamentary confirmation, but are not bound by it.

We are talking about terrorism- but are the media? Has trump declared it an act of terrorism?

Ate you serious?

You know, the Nazis used dehumanising language to describe Jews and others they disliked. It’s sad you should do
The same.

It’s a charming spot. Portabella beach was where I worked as a street cleaner as a student.

Exactly my point.
There’s nothing macho about being sleep deprived - it just means you can’t think straight.

One day someone will be bigger than you and you’ll find it was better to make friends than enemies.

Or Iran acquires a nuclear weapon from N Korea or ex Soviets and incinerates Tel Aviv? That would be “they shouldn’t have started the war” response would it?

Thank gods you have someone than can speak up against what’s happening.

Maggie famously claimed she only needed 4 hours sleep a day - then she went bonkers.

It remains likely correct though.

It’s usually what you hear on Radio4.

That is a declaration of war against a state by the federal government.
comment in response to

That won’t help in the short term.
But yes, with a £2 billion drop in exports to the US since Trumps tariff war, the UK desperately needs unfettered access to the single market again.

Israel has nuclear weapons. Has anyone been allowed to check them?
comment in response to
post
And that is exactly what Iran knows too.
Compare Libya with N Korea. Libya stopped is nuclear arms development and has since been destroyed. N Korea hasn’t, and is still going.

Israel’s unprovoked attack on Iran has to be condemned by the UK.
It’s as if we were giving air cover to Russia as they attacked Ukraine.

In the west we claim that nuclear weapons have stopped WWIII.
Why not elsewhere?
Israel has nuclear weapons but doesn’t allow any inspections.
Maybe if their neighbour also had them, Isreal would cease from its open aggression .

If I were anyone in a position of authority in Israel, I’d be getting nervous now. The gloves are off, it seems.

Ireland’s stated agenda was the annexation of Ulster. Did we bomb Dublin?
Trumps stated agenda is to take Greenland. Do you expect Denmark to bomb Washington?

True, but the thread started with one.

They were due to start negotiations this weekend. No I was afraid they’d reach a deal. So is Isreal declared war on Iran.

In the Southeast UK it would take about 100 years to save for a family home.

This is an unprovoked attack - a declaration of war.
Same as Russia on Ukraine.
Our response should be the same - condemn the attacker.
comment in response to

You forget the white feather campaign by women against men that refused to sign up in WWI.
comment in response to

If Iran bombed Israel, you would say Israel has the right to self defence.
So it works both ways.
You should condemn Israel’s attack on Iran in the same way you condemn Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
comment in response to
post
Yes of course it would.
We can’t condemn Russia attacking Ukraine while condoning Israel attacking Iran.
comment in response to
post
I can.
