Talk it out, it feels better after. creators.spotify.com/pod/show/stu...

I think a lot of people will think I / we must be grieving the separation from Ange, but fundamentally I’m grieving the loss of hope that a taste of glory could change the club’s mentality. I’d never seen a winner shit the podium.

If anyone tries to tell you Ange is the worst manager we've ever had, give them this. Despite the injuries and lack of squad depth, he still ranks among the best of our managers who lasted more than 100 games. And he won us a European Trophy. Legend.

So we’re not interested in the next Desiré Doué I guess

what this guy said

www.bbc.com/sport/footba...

I think it was Jay Harris on VFTL who said you can’t discount finishing 17th when you have a World Cup winner in Romero and a player like van de Ven. Look up how many PL games those two actually played together! Do you have them or no?

This is something I don’t see mentioned much at all. We finished 17th because even when our great players came back from injury, they were being rested. If we cared about the league beyond January (?) and had nothing else to play for trophy wise, we wouldn’t have finished 17th.

And to be clear, Frank had a better squad to work with over 1/3 fewer games if you account for who was actually available to play for Spurs, ie if you account for naked reality.

My guess is the type of person who would take the job under the circumstances is exactly the wrong type for it, or at least for the wrong reasons.

Maybe the board don’t appreciate how frustrating it is as a supporter to have to turn on a dime and back a new project under a new person over and over again while the goalposts keep shifting. Airs of capricious corporate management BS.

So the situation for the new manager is all lined up to be like Nuno’s in 2021. It won’t be the new manager’s fault, just the effect of a poorly run club. Liverpool manager succession in the inverse.

To dare is to do too much.

When the new manger is appointed, Spurs will have been led out by 7 different managers over 8 different stints since 2021.

No, the problem is not understanding why we finished 17 but acting anyway.

We apologize for the Europa trophy. Those responsible have been sacked.

This is the loading screen on the club app. Contrast with the cowardly, content-free club statement.

Disgraceful @tottenhamhotspur.com

Having finished the episode, I think Ange firing back at journalists has made some of them rather upset, perhaps even emotional in their verdict on Ange.

I’M FUNNY HOW?

Tottenham's Europa League victory over Manchester United was worth £100m according to some estimates, leaving United in some difficulty and transforming Spurs' near-term spending power. Naturally, United are signing Cunha, Mbeumo and Gyokeres, while Spurs are slipping back into crisis. #thfc #coys

Quite a tradition developing

1) Just in the first few mins of VFTL, James (I think) said something to the effect of: I don't understand, either you make the rational decision to sack Ange so you'd already have done so, or you make the emotional decision to keep him 'off the back of the final' so you'd already have done so. ...

Get on it, Levy! Before she goes to City!

Cherki is good huh
