Indeed but what they’re actually doing is in complete alignment with Vought and Project25 even with Elmo gone their mission is unchanged.

This obsession with chasing popularity is so silly. Hillary Clinton was once the most popular political figure in America when she left office as Secretary of State. By 2016 a couple years later she was toxic. Democrats need to simply promote strong messengers who don’t have a shit ton of baggage.

We haven’t been in a better position to respond to a recession with rate cuts since 08. If we had a big crash next year they have so much room to cut there would be little need for spending relief and we would likely see debts reduced when it was refinanced

Is there anyone in the public who doesn’t want low rates ?

If @democrats.org or @schumer.senate.gov had any brains in their heads they would unanimously pass the only good provisions in the bill no tax on tips, OT,SS larger standard deduction and child tax credit then let it die along with the large corp tax breaks and salt caps

Doesn’t matter what we tell them it’s happening this was all telegraphed for 2 years and every single person covering the 24 election just ignored it and now wants engagement for it

He openly admitted republican judges and justices are being controlled by billionaires and he installed most of them

This problem has two sources. First we allow the delusion that there is or has been over the last 40 years a rational GOP. Second we have a group of progressives who pretend Rubio and Hilary Clinton are the same.
comment in response to

This framing of the issue ignores the reality of what spending is. Tax cuts while running a deficit IS spending. By allowing the GOP to continue to ignore basic math and accounting puts all the stress of deficits and debts on programs instead of the costly tax cuts for corporations and the elite.

When FEMA responds to an emergency whether before for preparedness or after to provide power, housing, clean up , etc they do so with large numbers of workers deployed there from other federal agencies on a temporary basis. Many of those workers aren’t available after all the cuts.

Uncertainty and bad policy have the same outcome. Doubt we’ll see much in the way of stability with the bipolar nature of this administration. No agreement reached means anything.

I canceled cable right after. I have turned it on twice via HBO Max and immediately regretted it. It’s so pathetic. When signal gate 2.0 dropped I was on a plane and the guy next to me had it on. 2 hours straight of pope coverage.

This has been the same song every republican administration has played our entire lives and yet every election we are forced to pretend they are offering something different. The media covers it like it’s a shock every time it’s sickening how misinformed our country is.

Trump is only in office 4 years he won’t be around for onshoring of manufacturing even if it was possible I don’t understand why he wouldn’t just zero out all the tariffs have the economy rip and reduce rates along with inflation. The only thing that’s going to be durable from this is reputation.

This is one of the most maddening things post pandemic. These podcast bros like should have kept schools open. No way anyone was gonna risk that, teachers avg age of 50 making like 40k were not going to teach, and as soon as they did opened they started screaming about CRT and pride flags

I’m not sure how the legislation will be able to change the gas fees from minors and validators of these coins. Let alone the companies like Coinbase who want a taste of every transaction. Sure they could get rid of cap gains tax reporting but the fees are hard to legislate away.
comment in response to

As someone who’s used them I can assure you there is fees for using them and I had you have to file tax forms at the end of the year
comment in response to

The fees are significantly higher than banks there’s still no good use case for these things. They also cost capital gains tax as they’re considered investments. It’s a nonsensical approach to transferring money.

The free trade democrats that take power next who kill most tariffs will have a pretty short path to lower rates. Trump would be on pace for a bunch of cuts had he just done nothing.
