I work in debtor's-rights law. I've talked with several thousand people in financial hardship - mostly older rural white people. Please let me tell you: MANY. SUCH. CASES.

My father went to his grave thinking this was the best song ever recorded. But he also thought "John McGlachstein and the Mahishtanu Orchestra" was the funniest shit ever. (Yiskadal v'yiskadash, Pops.)

They should consider watching that new documentary series about resisting fascism. It's all about making difficult choices in seemingly hopeless situations. Expect that's why they named it "And/Or." Now on Disney+!

Have to reflect how none of those West Point grads will ever be able to afford a house in Levittown unless they - run a Fort Bragg drug ring - retire straight into a no-show job at Raytheon -kill a famous terrorist and then immediately launch a memecoin -follow the exact career path as Pete Hegseth

I've had so many people tell me that the 2°C global warming reference point is arbitrary, therefore global warming is fake. ...yes these are all people that think speed limits are tyranny. ...yes even the ones who were highway patrol which is more than one of them.

The Democratic Joe Rogan would express opinions popular with the majority of Democratic voters. Many of these opinions would be in direct opposition to the positions of the leaders of the Democratic Party. "Dem Rogan" is not a tactic to win, it's a thought experiment to demonstrate why we lose.

If a person's salary, directly or indirectly, is tied to a candidate's fundraising totals, then they will recommend candidates who are good at fundraising from rich people. It must be reckoned with that this trait is growing in its orthogonality to electability.

A car mechanic is unqualified if they only work on Audis and you've got a Ford. RFK Jr. is like a mechanic who's started cutting people's brake lines without telling them to make them a better driver. He should, already, be in jail.

Respectfully, I am not so certain. For it could also be the result of oligarchs who see autarchy as a path to autocracy. Even with attendant economic collapse... or, *reliant* upon it.

Replacing ethanol with solar hydrogen is a very interesting idea. But ethanol lets you use existing infrastructure (gas stations, gas cars)(and, corn farmers). Hydrogen would require discarding and supplanting all of these. It's worth considering! But it would be a TITANIC national project.

Transmission lines are expensive to build and maintain, and lose energy over distance. They are not effective long-distance solutions. Batteries are expensive, heavy, inefficient, and would have to go back and forth! Ethanol is a bad solution. But solar alone is not a solution at all.

I think it is even more mainstream within the Right than support for Israeli Zionists or Chinese Christians. (Probably because Afrikaners are neither Jewish nor Chinese 🫠)

Ethanol is portable energy. Solar panels do not create portable energy. I don't think ethanol is *good* but brother they are not equivalent
