Further to this, The Wheel of Time is a prime (nyuk nyuk) example. It's a show that's first two seasons were enjoyable enough but it really hit its stride with the 3rd, only to be axed. Imagine if they'd done that with B5, Star Trek TNG or DS9 that had equally dodgy opening seasons.

A bit disgusted with myself as a Babylon 5 fan for thinking this BUT, I'm kinda glad the long rumoured reboot is dead in the water. Only because I fully expect any and all modern streaming services to cancel it after 1 season. The original 5 season arc was a miracle by modern standards.

Still sticking with Skybound Transformers despite its many repetitive flaws. The series feels like it needs to take a breather as the pacing is kinda relentless so you don't really get to know the characters. Also, it's OK for the good guys to win from time to time.
