It's redundant to say it's false... he was speaking after all.

OPP news release says the source could be domestic or foreign. The source is still being investigated.

The answer to your rhetorical question is that the U.S. has a flawed democracy, limited press freedom, and free speech, provided it's hate-speech. The Trump regime, Congress & Supreme Court are proving the U.S. Constitution is nothing more than nice sentiments written on parchment.

I'm a lawyer so I can't give you a legal opinion, but as a GOPer, I do feel able to make violent assault incitements to our base.

Silent cowardice would be bad enough, but most of the GOP still voice active support for him. I would take them at face value... they support his actions.

So he won't give a legal assessment, even though he's a lawyer and a legislator... but he is completely willing to incite violent assaults on an elected official. How very GOP of him.

Therein lies the Dems problem, the Dems have lost the farm and rust-belt states to toxic populist Trumpers. Trump won't make their lives better, but they will give them a target for them to blame for their suffering... namely: the "others". Creating red/blue ghettos is not solving anyone's problems.

The U.S. has become a militarized police state. The Trump regime is descending to the level of other totalitarian states around the world.

So, if they cannot be identified, the next administration may have no option but to fire all the ICE agents working under the Trump regime, then work to identify and arrest those that participated in the illegal acts.

This world is rapidly regressing to a new Dark Age, where knowledge is frowned upon and magic is revered. We could use a new Renaissance... soon!

He's building on his legacy... as the worst President in USA history.

Comparing her to a piece of shit is very insulting to shit... no?

Not "on a path toward", the USA has fully arrived at the end of that path.

Hopefully one of the countries being subjected to this foreign interference in their election process will have the courage to arrest USA officials committing this kind of interference. If Chinese officials did this in the USA during an election, they would be arrested/deported.

Perhaps the only good thing for Canadians about Trump's presidency, is that we have realized that we have become too reliant on the USA for economic and national security. With our new Prime Minister, we appear ready to expand our relationships to other countries and reduce our reliance on the USA.

First place winner gets 180 days, 2nd place gets 240 days. The entire U.S. is now flyover country for the rest of the world.

The last 80 years the U.S. has been the biggest beneficiary of an economic approach that lifts all boats, Trump is in the process of changing to a beggar thy neighbour approach. It will be depressing & fascinating to see how much destruction this creates for both the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Given the history of violating and reneging on previously agreed deals, treaties, etc. there is no basis to believe the U.S. will honour any deal beyond the current Presidential term (and with Trump, not even that long).

The U.S. has become a failed state. When the justice system cannot (according to the Supreme Court) prosecute clearly illegal and unconstitutional acts by the President, and the Congress refuses to impeach and convict the President the country has approached a failed democracy status.

Judges make rulings based on the laws & constitution the politicians put in place. He is trying to evade responsibility for those laws through an elected judiciary that can be pressured by voters to misinterpret those laws. If he doesn't like the laws, he should do his job and change them.

Yup, the entire U.S. is now fly-over country.

His logic: Bring all the manufacturing back to the U.S. because it's "unfair" trade for countries to export products to the U.S. that could be made in the U.S., but then the U.S. can export those products to the countries that no longer make the products... that's an interesting idea of fair trade.

In 2024 the Federal Government spent $6.75 trillion and total U.S. goods imports were $3.36 trillion. So is Trump seriously proposing that the Federal Govt can fund its spending with an average tariff of 200%? Trump is either stupid, or he believes voters are stupid, or both.
comment in response to post
As bad as his ridiculous tariffs have been, it is notable that the list did not include Russia, Belarus, North Korea (U.S. did some trade with DPRK) or Cuba. Incompetence? Probably, but with his history with Russia you never know.

I'm shocked, shocked that no one wins a trade war! FAFO
