The first rap song was a christian song called Noah.

That's exactly what the Klan said about FDR.

Image justifying thought police instead. Not a joke.

In regards to coercion or manipulation; the toggle camera, or 'blue for review' is designed specifically for that; to account for and document conversations that may be manipulative: to use a sports analogy, its the red challenge flag. If the assault still takes place, it provides context.

Incapacitation* erherm
comment in response to post
In regards to incapacitation, since the consent watch is designed with drink sensors, it could preemptively warn the user of intoxication. It could have a fail safe that if contaminates that would constitute a risk of incompacitation are present, the non-consent feature could auto trigger.

Again, all these issues already exist. These are all barriers to the perp performing the crime. They are all extra steps the perp has to take.

Can you define typical perpetrator? Getting Clinton-esque "super predator" vibes here.

How? You keep alluding without providing examples, other than the obvious threat of force.

"Sorry bro, a no is a no. Once the red button is on, you gotta get off. No questions asked."
comment in response to post
Obviously. If it becomes non-consentual at any point from initial consent, the red button is available.

While it didnt prevent the murder, it was what resulted in securing a conviction and 10 year sentence. x.com/WarMonitorCl...

I think people who dislike the idea are more concerned about not being accountable for their behavior. Perhaps I'm incorrect, but certainly seems more likely.

Well the consent watch isnt an app, and it serves more functions than just preventing rape and sexual assault. Its also meant to test food, drink, and air for contaminates, and facilitate documentation and deescalation. Its a swiss army watch. But the concept is meant to develop consent culture.

I'm a victim of sexual assault and sexual violence.

I disagree

Yes, reality is reality, until reality changes. Humans werent able to fly until we invented airplanes.

If there is a 50/50 chance they're image is going directly to dispatch it acts as a deterent. Obviously the user has to use their judgment, just like if you didnt have one. Honestly, i feel like this is just naysaying. I've yet to hear an alternative, or improvement on the design.

There is also the intepretation, there was no consent recorded by the watch at the time alleged.
comment in response to post
That's one interpretation.

If you are faced with that scenario, death is a potentiality anyway. So, you're better off pressing the red button anyway and at least creating a record that can be used to prosecute the perpetrator.
comment in response to post
Once the red button is pressed and registers the user, it would begin recording and storing, or streaming the event to dispatch to create a record of events. Obviously the danger of threatening violence to coerce a green button activation exists, however the deterent still exists.
comment in response to post
Uh-huh, but that's the same conditions that exist now.

Such as a finger print.

It's not based on physiological reaction, the button has to be activated by its user. It doesnt automatically activate.

Did you read the article, and the conceptual design? Would you care to explain where you perceive gaps in the design are?
