What does Trump has to do with athiesm?

Finally some courage.

That has nothing to do with athiesm.

If you want a good conversation we can have it. But you don't seem to.

If the issue is that professionals will defend their work and argue in favor of it...well yes. But that doesn't prevent peer review from working. Because it's done by several scientists, not just one or two that have a work to defend

Ok, can you show me the scientific article then? Instead of an opinion in a .org site?

That's a blog and an opinion article.
But even there if says "bias agiant novelty" in quotes. The bias they mean is that the new studies are less likely to be published in prestigious outlets. Which is natural before they get some credence.

And you say that they do based on what evidence?

It's not supposed to be. And it isn't.

I saw the video. Just claiming they don't give enough attention to "consciousness" in the process of evolution. Since they do and consider it part of natural selection I don't know where you are coming from.

They don't band together to discredit new ideas. If the idea has merit, they will applaud it. If the idea doesn't have merit, they will criticise it. That's how it works.

Science is not political. If I say "the earth is flat" I would be an idiot regardless of my political views.
"Vaccines don't work" still an idiot regardless of my political views.

That's why peer review exists.

First Y chromosome is a variation of the X chromosome.
Second no one is saying that one turns into the other. We are saying that gender and sex are different things. Which they are.

It's not about courage. Science works when people ask questions and test things. Science is a self correcting process. Science contradicted science. Science corrects science. Those people didn't fought science, they used it.
comment in response to
post
What specifically makes you say that it isn't?
comment in response to

You are saying that natural selection is not sufficiently explored in discussions about evolution? But that's the first known mechanism of evolution. The only one Darwin knew
comment in response to
post
What you call consciousness is actually included in natural selection. Anything that helps an organism survive or mate.
The peacock feathers help it mate. Therefore is naturally selected and passed on.
All those choices are part of natural selection. They are not left out of the theory of evolution

Yes, athiests can believe in the supernatural. Like karma, spirits, ghosts. We just don't have a belief in God. And I am not for mocking religion.
If you define religion in a more "loose" sense maybe yes, that would be considered a godless religion. So an athiest could be a part of it.
comment in response to
post
I just used spirits as an example. Athiests are just defined by not believing in god. Anything else we believe in differs from person to person.
comment in response to
post
Lots of things. Many can even believe in spirits. We just don't believe in god.

Evidence? His own words!
And he didn't get in after they were ready, he got in while they were getting ready. I know you maggots will deny the truth about your god to the end of time. But hey, you showed that in your country, the best way to get to president is to be a sex predator.

That was not in the list she gave.
But Trump did walked in on the contestants of miss USA, ages 14-19, so you have the picture of a pedophile in your profile picture.
But I guess you people love him for that.

The voting rights were an example.
Just like voting rights shouldn't be up to the states, neither should abortions rights. Some rights are not up for debate and everyone should have them regardless of what the state wants.
