The pteronarcyidae prefer swift riffles between cobbles and boulders. They are intolerant to loss of coarse particulate organic matter that is their food and habitat.

Well, this country also produced Miles Davis, Meryl Streep, Serena Williams, Lou Reed, and Ken Kesey. So it all has to even out, somehow.

We need our friends overseas to prepare a boycott of the Olympics and World Cup. And to consider shifting investments out of the dollar.

Check that. $30k is about 1.25” thick, probably fits in a sport coat. Purse size is more like $60k+…

Maybe more than $3k, I’d guess. $30k? Holding it for Corey?
I’ll bet she forgot it, walked out of the bar.

Hard disagree. They showed up at Columbia first for a reason: it scares them. That’s plenty good enough for me.

You bet. Is Columbia flying people to El Salvador?

From my perspective — distant in both time and space from Columbia — I see a crew intent on the destruction of the modern world, starting with universities. Stephen Miller and Hegseth would bomb Columbia to rubble, on the way to many other places, including Gaza. None of you work for him.

I’m going to defer to President Shipman on this one. I can certainly imagine that this decision is painful for people on campus. There is a big fight brewing, though, and everybody at Columbia is on the same side of it.

Yes! The universities are a major repository of our great cultural wealth as Americans — and it was all for this moment. You get to lead the coming charge. Unite. Push back.

New Liberty Bonds, backed by the assets, traditions, and brain power of our most powerful universities, and secured by the future wealth they’ll create. Invest in science, the arts, democracy, and global citizenship.
We’re going to outlast them.

Some of you folks are gonna end up with statues in the squares.
Also seems like we’re going to need to make a distinction between cowards and collaborators. It’s ok to be scared. It’s not ok to go to war against our democracy.

Before too long, the people who advocate in court for the overthrow of democracy need to be identified as #collaborators. The Naughty List should mean a real limit to future work opportunities. DOJ is a weak link.

Hell yes.
And: cowardice eventually becomes collaboration. Cowardice is always forgivable but collaboration gets written down and remembered.

We’re going to need a list of collaborators at some point.

Some of ugliest stuff I’ve ever seen is over on the bad place with a search of the latest use of “Boasberg.” Howling for blood, more or less. We’re going to have to build some more statues when this is all finished.

Why does any publicly traded company still have a connection to this guy? Why is any trustee invested with him? He’s in a spiral. The wings are gonna fall off. Divest.
