Maybe these "heroic" officers need to ask themselves:

They are also launching an MVNO mobile phone service. That's how he knows people are listening. πŸ™ƒ

"Peacemaking deal of the century"? Hah. Nothing will ever top how Trump ended the war in Ukraine in 24 hours.

These goons are completely out of control hiding behind their masks.

Wow, I've never seen so many closed-minded comments on Bluesky. You don't have to believe the "AGI singularity" hype by some industry figures to find the current AI tools useful for specific tasks, assuming you're willing to learn when and how to use them properly.

Needs some context. He was first appointed by Waltz's predecessor to represent business in a non-partisan advisory group. He was then re-appointed for the position by Waltz.

Two more tips: - Never file a permanent change of address with the USPS when you move. They sell your new address. File a temporary CoA instead. www.forbes.com/sites/adamta... - Opt out of pre-screened offers to reduce the flow of header data from the credit bureaus: www.optoutprescreen.com

Here are 2 more good resources: - The "Big Ass Data Broker Opt-Out List" (maintained by @yaelwrites.com): github.com/yaelwrites/B... - Michael Bazzell's data removal workbook: inteltechniques.com/workbook.html

They get their information from a variety of sources, both public records (e.g. property records, voter registration lists etc.) and private (e.g. online stores, apps, credit bureaus). They also buy information from each other. There are literally hundreds of data brokers.

He's also a former Wallstreet executive. I wouldn't be surprised if he was installed to push toward privatization.

Tehran has a population about as big as NYC's. I'm sure evacuating will be no problem. πŸ™„

The same Laffer BS they've been selling since the 1980s which has never worked. Also, some of Trump's policies (such as the tariffs) are decidedly not "pro-growth".

Yeah, he only makes sure that government agencies remove all regulations that could get in the way of his little side hustle.

I don't understand how they could fall for a license plate saying "Police" in the first encounter. Real police cars obviously have no such plates.

The acting US attorney was appointed by Trump and previously was an investigator in the Biden classified documents case.

My guess: it'll be a cheap Chinese Android phone, maybe partially assembled in the US, and sold at an absurd markup.
comment in response to post
They actually claim that the phone will be built in the US: "[...] Trump Mobile is also excited to announce it will release the β€œT1 Phone” in August. It is a sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States [...]" www.trump.com/media/trump-...

Musk's plan was probably to cripple and then try to discredit the SSA so they could finally realize an old GOP dream: privatize Social Security. That the new commissioner is a former Wallstreet executive doesn't do much to alleviate concerns.

Why are they giving airtime to a bozo like this?
comment in response to post
Given that non-citizens can't vote anyway, I don't see how that would hurt the Democrats. On the contrary, these aggressive ICE raids will probably drive up turnout. This isn't 3D chess. It's just dumb.

I guess if "they" send back a letter saying "go pound sand" that's also a deal.

The article reference by the tweet is worth reading: abcnews.go.com/US/trump-mer... "In hindsight, one Army official said, uniformed officials on the ground probably should have pushed back more on the political nature of the event."

Nice trolling. πŸ˜† I for one am glad that they apparently didn't waste the army's time to practice. We don't need goose-steppers in the military.

The scary thing about this story IMO is that CBP apparently already knew a lot about Alistair's online activities through comprehensive analytics of social media and blogging activities. There are no boundaries to the politically motivated surveillance anymore.

Hopefully they don't figure out that they only need to buy a few million $TRUMP shitcoins and give him a big plane to make it happen.

"We were the most safe we've been" ... somehow these people seem to have lived through a completely different first Trump term than the rest of us. Hundreds of thousands died unnecessarily in good part due to his fecklessness and incompetence.

He didn't work for Waltz. He was appointed as a private sector representative to a group that advises the governor and the MN legislative. And he was first appointed by Walz's predecessor, Mark Dayton.

Another sanitized NY Times headline, and you have to read more than half-way through the article until Posse Comitatus is mentioned.

I suspect he means bonds in another currency, such as the Euro (which has already gained a lot against the Dollar recently). Maybe gold too.

And if this wasn't enough, moments before this incident she said that she wants to "liberate" CA from the "burdensome leadership" of our Governor and the Mayor of LA. Our elected officials! Do something!
