The seed heads of western pasqueflowers (Ranunculaceae: Pulsatilla occidentalis) look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. These plants can be found on gravel slopes and in moist mountain meadows from the Pacific Northwest to Montana. Glacier National Park, Montana, 09 Aug 2014.
