If anything sums up the psyche of the RP today, it’s this..the fish rots from the head down, but the seeds grow from the ground up.They portray themselves as tough - how tough is a man who shoots a projectile at an unprotected female? America the Brave? No, America the bully, the coward. Pathetic!

What’s wrong with the Dems? They were the party of values and principles that I could relate to. I still believe Kamala had those principles. Schumer has shown he has few morals and the rest are too nice. Embracing Musk enforces the need for a 3rd political party to better represent the people!

He’s right but it’s a very insular view. Russia is yet to retaliate for the brilliant Ukraine attack - given Putin’s history, it will be an escalated response. Clock is ticking for Russia as EU remilitarises, that could also lead to an escalation. And that changes the dynamics - even in the US.

I will guarantee you….nobody gives a damn what Tapper thinks. He sold his journalistic integrity for a book deal and what proves that as fact, is he’s consciously ignoring and therefore supporting action that puts Watergate in the shade. The destruction of all that is good in America. Shame on u!

Never mind who started it. He said he would solve it on day 1 of office, maybe before. That was his commitment. And all who voted believed him. Again a failure, a loser. Again a conman who gets away with it. Will the US EVER wake up to Trump’s failures on everything apart from his own grift? Nope..

That’s because he doesn’t need to…the DOGE initiative was nothing other than a cover under which he’s infiltrated all systems to guarantee DJT and Family remain in power for generations to come. The only way to change the outcome is thru peaceful revolution. And if that doesn’t work,
God help the US

DJT is fair game but his wife is not doing things every day to harm Americans or immigrants. She shouldn’t be guilty by association. That’s the same standard being used to go after immigrants which is wrong. We are better than that..it was a funeral and who knows what she was feeling..focus!

It’s not about the kids, it’s not about pro-life..that’s all a cover. It’s about control by rich, so-called religious, white men and their dominance over what they see as women’s true role in the world. I say this as a so-called religious white man who is disgusted by what America is becoming.

Yes, he’s doing well George. He invested 50% of his assets in Tesla and the other 50pc buying land in Gaza from a renowned Property Developer named Never NeverLand, recommended by someone operating on behalf of the President. Hasn’t got the title deeds yet but did get a thank you message so all good

I don’t always agree with Bernie but he does have a habit of nailing the issue…and he nails this one! Say it loudly, say it widely and say it often..can’t believe that many in the Democratic Party have learned nothing from Trump in the last 8 years. And that’s part of the reason they lost in 2024

Ok so you’ve stated the action taken and the appropriate consequences Jon, so what’s the plan to deliver the consequences? Otherwise, this is just another griping session.

Could have figured that out in the first term…we voted him back in. An old mentor once told me, “if you hire someone and they fail, it’s your fault for hiring them”. That’s doubly true if you rehire them! The conman is not the fool here, the people who are buying his products are…77.3m of them.

You don’t need to be God to figure this out…and you can’t be God because God knew this was going to happen a long time ago. And so did many Americans but they still voted Trump…what does that tell you about the Good Old US of A?

Robert Reich’s post clearly identifies the root-cause of all you see in the US today. And it’s not just politics. The same monetary incentives have poisoned the well of democracy, The Supreme Court. The path to unwinding is evolutionary or revolutionary - former is slow, latter is fast. U decide….

Wake up Randy! You’re taking like it’s a nightmare…problem is, the nightmare is over as that was the just the fear of what could happen. It’s now happening, many times a day. The citizens of the United States have spoken and The Supreme Court has crowned a de facto King. Next…?

It’s not just the abdication and consequences for the US Economy…it leaves a vey large void that needs to be filled..and none of the very small numbers of potential candidates are friends of free speech and open markets, nor are they friendly towards the West. Winter is coming….

I’m sure it’s making MAGA really happy looking at these Muppets celebrating their manipulation of the markets. Question, how much did the common MAGA man/woman/other make? My money is on zero. MAGA - Muppets Are Greedy Again and Many Are Gullible Again! 🥊

….that’s one of their nuclear options. They haven’t exercised that option because there was no incentive to do so. Trump has provided that incentive. The other thing China has in its favour is, in this battle Xi will still be standing, no matter what…..

There was a prophetic book written many years ago called “Dragonstrike”. It foretold almost this exact scenario except the US wasn’t the aggressor, it was China. What Trump and the RP don’t get is that China has more USD reserves than the US Treasury. Flood the market, tank the US Economy…

Globalisation was the opposite strategy to Trump’s views and led to both increased competition and a boom in the US’s economy in the last 40 years. We should all be thankful he wasn’t President back then!

You’re right. People don’t yet realise that this is no longer about Brexit. This is NOT a Brexit re-Referendum. The UK is stronger being part of Europe and Europe is stronger having the UK. And they’re going to have to be a lot stronger to stand against a Russian regime supported by the US.

This prolonged coup maybe too far gone and the new governance too embedded to reverse however…see Russia! Civil War is also not the answer - the world needs a plan that delivers peace whilst removing the new regime.

…if not for decades. The power instilled in the very institutions set up to provide checks-and-balances, has been stolen from the People. This is why revolutions happen and it’s always the people v the aristocracy/oligarchs and those who do their wishes…

I can’t express the angst and disbelief that causes me to say this, the US is now the enemy of the free world…not Americans but the US. The beacon that once shone brightly has been extinguished. This has not just “happened” since Jan 26th. It’s been in play by powerful, wealthy people since Obama…

Very insightful…I would add that you also have to look at the oligarchs surrounding and supporting Trump. Some of whom hide in the shadows. It’s their motivation, their strategy, their agenda that’s driving this and that leads me to believe there is a much larger master plan at play here..thoughts?

1. It will take the combined experience and energy of ALL Dems coming together to defeat this cult.
2. Problems are rarely solved by cynics so ignore all the caustic comments above
3. HRC outthought and outfought the RP for years and gets under their skin
4. Welcome to the fight and thanks!

Crystalises the issue..they are baked in…you only need another 14pc of the remaining 63pc of persuadable and disenfranchised voters and not only are you in…you can stay in. So, DP needs to forget the 37pc and focus on the strategy to get 51pc of the 63pc to vote for them. Simple, but not for DP!

Just read the posts immediately above..if it’s not already too late, it will be soon. Especially with the DP suffering inertia. DJT will likely be formally anointed by the Supreme Court and Ivanka will become the 1st female President of the US, exacting the ultimate revenge on Hilary and the DP.

I agree with the point you make Karen, but fear the reality is that the structural erosion in foundations that are taking place and replaced by authoritarian apparatus, will dictate the RP remain in power for a generation(s). People need to revolt en masse right now before it becomes embedded…

The US is the new China with many Countries genuinely concerned about handing over security power to a foreign Country aligned with Russia. Watch the steady decline in purchases of US Technology in the next 5 years, replaced by a MEGA (Make Europe Great Again) strategic military and economic shift.

At a time when we need the Churchill of our times, we’ve got Chamberlain(Schumer) and Halifax(Jeffries). While they are suing for peace, the enemy is conducting and accelerating a vicious war on the very fabric of the Nation. History has always been a guide to the future, so we need a fighter!

Absolutely clueless. If he was a CEO of any business, having lost so much market-share, failed to galvanise the workforce (Dem Party), be openly scared and hesitant to attack his competitors and lacked any kind of coherent strategy, he would be gone, fired. And the stakes here are much higher. Go!

Even Chuck doesn’t believe what he’s saying here, so why should anyone else think this is the right thing to do? Capitulating in a nuclear war is no recipe for success Chuck. In fact, it’s called suicide. Step down..let younger, angrier, more energised acolytes take over this fight!
