“When a prison camp opens in your town… When a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom… When the president* destroys what’s left of the Constitution… They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.” @aoc.bsky.social

Here's another angle from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin of Sen. Alex Padilla getting roughed up by law enforcement after he tries to question Kristi Noem at her presser:
“I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary. Because the fact of the matter is, a half dozen... Hands off!”

That Noem said she was there to liberate LA from its elected leaders and then her people attacked a Senator who is responsible for Congressional oversight of what DHS is doing in Los Angeles in his home town and on federal property cannot be left out of this story.

Another piece – non protesters have no idea how dangerous it out there. Federal agents and cops target individuals with weapons that are potentially maiming and lethal. Very serious injuries are happening every single day.
No one; again, no one, will be held accountable for these injuries.

Police brutality captured on ABC7-- as the police chief gives a press conference.
A fire breaks out, then cops brutally assault a protestor. They run him over with a horse and hit him with batons several times, despite the fact he does not pose any threat to the officers.
Cops are rioting.

LAPD unlawfully issuing orders to press today ("MEDIA GO!"). California Penal Code 409.7 explicitly exempts journalists from dispersal orders. LAPD knows this and command staff has been trained on it.

They’re going to be so bored, and at least most of them recognize how stupid their deployment is.
There were NG checkpoints in our neighborhood after the Eaton fire, and the ones I talked to complained how boring it was to wait on corners all day. And at least that was useful, this is pointless.

If they somehow equate deep sea mining to coastal offshore wind power generation, Trump will oppose it.
There’s no relation, but that doesn’t really matter for these purposes.

Willie Nelson’s one of the good ones, though, as far as I can tell.
And his Frosty is pretty good, it’s simple and folksy, nothing groundbreaking but it’s comforting and relatable.
