For what it's worth I believe you are on the right side of history. You & I don't agree on everything, but we agree on the important things: democracy, the rule of law, decency, & empathy/compassion. As my mother told me NO two people agree with each other 100%.

The problem is that about 50% of voters are ostriches. And what's worse is that about 35-40% of eligible voters did not even vote! People don't want to know. If they know they have to admit they made a mistake & God forbid they have to acknowledge that they were wrong!

This Memorial Day is somewhat sadder. We are visiting Scotland where my husband's family is from. His uncle (for whom he was named) was a first generation American. He retired from the USN after having served in WWI; he returned to the Navy for WWII. He died in a Japanese POW camp in the PI.

I've become a pessimist, so I say no. As a child my mother cautioned me about ignoring my conscience (voice in my head telling me right from wrong). "Each time you ignore it, the voice gets softer until it disappears." MAGA has passed that point & their inner voice (conscience) is completely gone!
