How is this used? As an extension?

Yeah, I’m a lawyer and while my skills aren't what I’d describe as niche, I can see how even they aren’t truly transferrable (in the sense of being usable in a non-legal context for the same ‘price’ I charge for them now).

Yeah, thought that might be the case as I was writing my response. Thanks for the thoughtful answer!

Anything to the idea that those involved in fishing don't have especially transferrable skills (and so it makes sense to focus on it) whereas that's not true for knowledge workers generally? Or just the difference in relative size means that aspect still doesn't matter (assuming it's even true)?

No mulling? :P

I switched last year. I assume you don't have a family group with kids in it? That makes it more complicated. If not, the biggest downsides (1) most iTunes video purchases didn't carry over and are just gone and (2) some music isn't available on Apple Music (presumably because of licensing).

One of the ‘I still can’t believe it’ publishing decisions of my lifetime is Penguin not keeping in print its Centenary Edition series of Ian Fleming’s James Bond books purely for the covers: www.collecting-fleming.com/photos/C531

I'm curious whether either of you think Apple needs to move away from annual OS releases (as part of a move to improve quality).

My favourite was when Kuroda went to a sake brewery. She wore clothing to prevent contamination and was in the roof of the building so the camera could look down on the sake. Surely, they couldn't. As expected, no peanut until, at the final moment, the camera pulled back and there he was! So great 😀

Oh my God, I love Shutoken Network. The fact every segment shot in Chiba features that peanut costume is my absolute favourite thing on Japanese television.

This is tough. I've got a number of candidates but if I'm picking just one, I've got to go with Tron: Legacy. I'm too young to have any actual nostalgia for the original Tron and the movie itself is meh enough that I've only watched it once but the soundtrack is just an incredible Daft Punk album.

This one wasn't too bad!
