This happened with my new dishwasher. It will run fine but to set it to dry correctly you need an account.
At least it's not snooping my viewing preferences to sell to advertises while selling my bandwidth to a residential proxy provider

I really appreciated when Andor made a point of showing that using green/under disciplined/stressed troops for riot control could escalate a situation. That it's happening here from poor instead of intentional planning is not a consolation.

A lot of cyber criminals and government paid but not operated shops also follow these hours, not just the direct government employees. The key takeaway is that these are day jobs for folks with an office coffee machine. The randos that work all hours are more the exception.

The smart ones will use AI to use Trump's voice for the robo call Nigerian prince scam. The only tell is the scam voice will be more cogent.

I love Whidbey Island distillery but am always reminded the weirdness of seeing a distillery with a graphana dashboard.

ROFL. That's what it was called before Sky News decided they were willing to spend way too much on lawyers insisting it somehow caused confusion with their brand.

So this is maybe the most most fascinating part, since it is a thoroughly tested, declarative, machine readable declaration of the logic of the portion of the tax code that DF supports github.com/IRS-Public/d...

If it was a two year statute of limitations, then it would be fine, but it's not.

Saw a few others recommending non-phone Sony kit which is great, but the iPhone 16 is also on a really good Sony sensor.

That's terrifying. Also assuming I missed a previous rant on someone trying to kickstart a handheld engraving laser which is somehow even worse.

Yeah. The thing I'd like to see is the design changes to make a road more appropriate for its environment than just throwing up a sign and speed camera.

Generally my thoughts on automated enforcement regardless of location is that it should only be allowed when the speed limit aligns with proper traffic engineering (e.g. 85th percentile or work area safety reduction). I.e. you can't just slap 25 on a multi lane arterial stroad.

My favorite recent discovery is that Recall absolutely did not get out the door without a group policy to block it org wide but Intune couldn't be bothered to do the same for BYOD

It turns out the people that think it's ok to do workplace harassment and discrimination will also be absolute dicks to their cishet white colleagues and reports if they run out of others to harass and discriminate against.

And that complexity adds cost. Wonky requirements turn programs into jobs programs for bureaucrats often more than they reduce cost.

For all intents and purposes, this turns into just a very nice tax cut for the middle and upper middle class.
I guess if he's still really concerned then just push the tax increases needed for UBI down into his bracket.

Look the coffee ratio is 7g coffee to 4oz water for most methods. You want sub-ounce accuracy if you're making individual servings.

More a lot of Fed IT people need to check their org wide policies to block this. (If they are allowing BYOD, they have bigger problems).

I think some of them have realized they need to steer clear of the 9th circuit until they can find a way to avoid nationwide injunctions.

They assume if they eliminate it everything will look like a groverhaus, and are too lazy to propose reforms that could seriously streamline it since any accidental loophole would be too much.

If you played Tie Fighter, you need to watch S2:1-3, otherwise just the recap. Rest of season 2 absolutely watch. If you want best of season 1 start at EP 8 and watch through to the end.
It's good all the way through but pacing early is rough both seasons.
