Bella Floof Indoor Scene Report

Tom Waits shares this amazing TinTone photograph by Michael A. Russ w/Angelo Rossitto (silent movie actor, appeared in Tod Browning's Freaks, ran for Mayor of L.A.) & Lee Kolima (pro wrassler, Cannonball Run II actor & tv henchman). It's the cover of Swordfishtrombones.

🎶 caller id killed / the prank call star 🎶

I find it odd that the rebooted CREEM mag seems to have zero footprint on the rawk scene today. Dunno if it's the writers or that each issue is like 25 bucks but you never see ANYTHING abt it hardly anywhere. It's been back since 2022 too. Only thing I've seen is the Rocker's Car on Ty Segall.

I think often abt the first Hopper I saw - Automat (1927). It was at the Des Moines Art Center, early 90's. I was there for a junior college assignment & fucken around w/buddies when I came around the corner and stopped dead in my tracks. I was beguiled by her. Still am.

Canadian Stones fans repping tees in the Seventies. Middle guy friggin looks like Gram P. Love the coke tee the best. Stones shirt is easily the worst of three.

OTD 1992 the greatest video in the history of mankind debuted on MTV. The video? November Rain by GNR. Rumor has it that the bulk of the million plus cost went to Slash playing his Les Paul in a desert in front of a church. Still fucken awesome & worth every penny.

We had paradise, then we threw it all away.

Jason dropped a Rockford Files reference in Lost Cat (2013).

There's been high weirdness, PKD & Robert Anton Wilson name drops in the first few pages of Miguel Conner's The Occult Elvis.

Barney Miller is one of the great 70's network sitcoms which was the real Golden Age of TV™. Here's a few more: - M*A*S*H - WKRP in Cincinnati - Good Times - Sanford & Son - Taxi - Bob Newhart Show - All in the Family - The Jeffersons - Soap - Welcome Back Kotter

"One more thing...David Lynch was my neighbor. He said something about pencils I didn't understand and that everyone has AI on their phones and I can use it, so fuck you. " - Natasha Lyonne

American Splendor (2003) still the best movie to show my profession - records/files. I am NOT as cranky as Harvey Pekar but I like to think I'm as erudite.

Some classic 70's Denver bars.

Milwaukee Bucks logo in particular shows the descent into the minimalist fascist aesthetic.

I WANT TO BELIEVE that Jimi & Roy Buchanan jammed at the Sliver Dollar in D.C. back int he 60's. This anecdote from From Phil Carson's American Axe sorta disputes it tho:

This is me in between QCJ skeets.

Fascism has been creeping in thru sports logos for yrs. Just lookit the NBA, for example:

"One more thing...David Lynch was my neighbor. He said something about pencils I didn't understand and that everyone has AI on their phones and I can use it, so fuck you. " - Natasha Lyonne
