ICE probably busting down church doors everywhere, on account of tips saying Jesus is in there.

The tank barrel should be stubby.

Dissidents.

So many people were fine with everything, until they realized how much they depended on the people they hate.

No doubt, he’ll signal his lack of sobriety to everyone soon enough. He’s not built for this.
comment in response to post
Maybe after a few drinks, someone will send us all a signal.

Sometimes I like to imagine what it would be like to have 30 seconds and a microphone, with the sort of platform our elected officials have. They can do so much more if they try. And this Saturday, the people sure will be.

The light from the dumpster fire does make it difficult. But it’s also kinda warm and comforting.

Just wait until nobody is left to pick the food or clean the rooms and floors. They never wanted to admit their dependence on the very people they hate. But when it hits their wallet…
comment in response to post
So many people wish you’d see yourself for what you’ve become.

There is warmth, near the dumpster fire.

So… Elon’s up next?
comment in response to post
All he had to do was nothing. But instead he’s screwed with global trade. Ruined livelihoods and families, and harassed neighborhoods with ICE. Destroyed good programs and hamstrung research. And common folk aren’t any better off. It’s only going to get worse.

Siri.. what’s the total opposite of “de-escalation” technique?…
comment in response to post
Perhaps they should all decide their “red line” and hold to it. Because if they don’t, they’ll only be asked to do worse.

Because Jesus.

So much serving. So much protecting.
comment in response to post
Right. It’s like, beware of that slippery slope… as if there’s not a million constructive possible options between cowering at home versus burninating the neighborhood… and the vast majority of people are finding good ways to protest.

You’re kinda.. losing people. It’s not just the views, it’s the seeming lack of curiosity to appreciate the nuances of these matters… while you scold from a position of relative comforts. I mean, are you intellectually curious to that, or just trolling for responses?

Everyone wants to feel like they can see the curve ball before it breaks, and you are right—it’s instinctual. We can’t control this, and sometimes it’s not chess, and it’s not always a distraction. But thank goodness there’s a lot of us.

Well said.

How have you helped?

I feel like that’s media doing the “wait for the shocking turn of events” premonition. Foreshadowing without calling a spade a spade until it starts doing spade things and then omg would you look at that, it now resembles shockingly a spade, folks..!

I’d give my right arm for him to have looked into the camera and said “f*** you Trump. You’re not a dictator. We won’t allow it.” But I suppose we will get measures of whatever comes next.

This. I see a mix of people applauding, and I’m just not sure he’s fighting back so much as enjoying the attention. Will he *really* fight back, when it counts? This is just words on TV so far.
comment in response to post
I suppose it’s something.
comment in response to post
I don’t know. Is he doing anything except smiling through a tv interview?
comment in response to post
Gavin has never wanted the spotlight so much. He would tan in it, if he could.
comment in response to post
Maybe your perspective doesn’t live with the 1/3 foreign born public, which isn’t… you?
comment in response to post
You're really enjoying taking potshots at all the protests aren't you? That's kinda sad man. Kinda sad.
comment in response to post
Tom... you're hitting your limit of ignorant posts for the weekend.
comment in response to post
It’s past time for the public to prove it.
comment in response to post
But it must be massive. When their tanks and their guns are staring down thousands of innocent citizens… that’s when we prove who is in charge.
comment in response to post
This will certainly leave a stain on our nation. Probably a solid one-coat, white base.
comment in response to post
There has to be a massive, massive turnout in protest. If people cower in fear, then he knows this worked, and he will bully society harder and harder.
comment in response to post
That’s 39 minutes longer than it took to say the only thing necessary in this moment.
comment in response to post
Gavin will be too busy lint-rolling his suits, to take proper inventory of what is happening.
comment in response to post
If the masses mobilize, the people will win.
comment in response to post
Tom doesn’t seem to be grasping this very well.
comment in response to post
People have to do something.

Today I saw a cybertruck parked in the fire lane at Lowes, while an officer just sat there and watched him park there, did nothing about it. I guess this is America now.
comment in response to post
Doing nothing hasn’t worked. Maybe letting them steamroll society should be met with more than fear and cowering.
comment in response to post
And are you going to do?… Because the spectacle, is you. Doing nothing.
comment in response to post
How tragic for him, to feel what it is like when elected officials won’t center their policies on your welfare.
