Just realized ... Howling Blade is using Fenrir as a feral soul -- the FFIX Fenrir can use Earth (Terrestrial Rage) or Wind (Millennial Decay) attacks. A bit odd that Wicked Thunder uses Ixion, which doesn't appear until FFX while FFIX had Ramuh. Unicorn soul seems more sensible than some person's~

Decided to drop a hundo on a Champs Lifetime Sub. It's the cheapest it's ever been and I spend the same for one year of sub in FFXIV. Besides a huge bundle of exclusive costume parts, it grants several permanent devices that give max HP, max energy, and several others. I'll be sure to check in more!

Spent nearly 2 1/2 hours at the end of my XIV session yesterday, just rearranging hotbars. Needed to prep the rest of melee jobs with hotbars that had reset, but also took time to 'standardize' between jobs, so role actions & similar all use the same slot per ability, e.g. Arm's Length and Surecast.

Thinking again about a potential Corsair job and how that might work. My version would wield a cutlass and pistol combo, can build up Plunder to spend on stronger abilities like Trick Shot, and designate an Accomplice for mutual buffs when certain skills land. Something between ROG, DNC, MCH kinda.

Do people like the Jeuno raid? I thought it was neat just due to nostalgia, but do players who have no attachment to 11 think it's good or not? It was interesting to get voice lines for Shadow Lord, and it would be cool to hear others get voices, like the Zilart brothers, Nag'molada, Tenzen, etc.

Thunderbolts* was pretty good! Way more into it than Brave New World, felt like it had a solid idea from the start and did everything it meant to. The asterisk made sense before the very end, heh. Came away satisfied for sure, curious how they'll carry forward into inevitable future team-up films.

Decided to go check out Thunderbolts, and depending on how satisfying it is, might also see Minecraft. I have zero investment in MC (it practically feels Luke a generational thing by now) but I admit to a curiosity due to the reactions. But, we'll see how the Marvel movie fares first.

I did a quick bit of Cosmo before turning in last night (this morning? >_>; ) until Mech Ops popped. Fortune finally glanced my way! I got to pilot, got my Big Bang roulette, and picked my wheel. The spin was about to stop dead center on a materia but then -zip- magnetized to the Cosmosuit Coffer!

Ooohh boy... set up tank hotbars for the first time in... literal years (in the case of WAR, it hasn't been touched since forever, 2.3 or thereabouts) since all healers should be 70+ within a couple days. Then time to rotate thru tanks per 10 levels until they're all caught up too. 2-3 months to cap

OHH. What if Beastmaster is less the traditional style of pet class, and more akin to the feral soul thing being done with the Arcadion? Woke up feeling slightly gurgley, went into work anyway. Clocked in, sat down to log in, and immediately felt that warning twinge in my guts so I called sick instantly. One thing I've overlooked while leveling lowbie jobs is the daily Hunt Marks, I should work those into my routine today. I tried to use allied society dailies to supplement roulettes but the EXP gain to time spent feels awful before Stormblood societies. At least the pace to finish healers feels OK.

Just read up on tips for completing Cosmic tools, seems like my early pickaxe strats were mostly spot-on. I take a hint of comfort in knowing I really had been doing my utmost. The listed strats for crafting tools are ... somewhat more vague and also involved, can't parse the optimal strat yet...

Tried to do some Cosmic Exploration yesterday, I guess moving from spot to spot is the tradeoff from crafting missions. Pickaxe up to 0.5 and I have a better grasp of which missions I can do and which are out of reach for now. Overall I really ought to just finish Wachu stall quests as priority...

Oh wow I actually desire the Cosmo suit! I need that and the MCH Vanguard gun and I can do a Blaster Master cosplay :D Not perfect but it'll suffice for my purposes~ Kinda secondary goals compared to leveling lowbie jobs and gearing main and sub jobs, but it's a very doable thing at least!
