The crazy part is that many of these Congresspersons are literal attorneys, and many can’t seem to ask questions for shit.

And I will gleefully watch every episode + every second of bonus content. Living through his bullshit is a nightmare though.

He used every buzzword under the sun and managed to say nothing.

I understand those are activities, but none of those activities involve ARs. And I apologize, I meant per min, not per sec. Yes, the US fosters violence. More generally, White people foster violence, but far-right White folks exist in other countries without committing regular mass violence.
comment in response to post
How they define "mass shooting" is in the footnotes. The US absolutely kills (literally) on gun violence metrics. rockinst.org/blog/public-...
comment in response to post
The US's assault weapon ban expired years ago, and mass shootings have increased. They actually increased significantly when the ban expired in 2019.
comment in response to post
Arson is bad, but “several” times vs the US’s DAILY gun violence is not even a comparison. Guns are the number 1 killer of children in the US.
comment in response to post
I haven’t looked into it because the stat doesn’t matter to me when there are mass shootings in the US daily. A crazy person with a knife can’t do the same damage, so I would trade our gun violence for their knife violence.
comment in response to post
Hunting, sporting, and collection-type guns do not include ARs that can fire hundreds of rounds per second. The US allows pretty much any adult to own such a weapon with almost no restrictions, which is fucking insane and unnecessary.
comment in response to post
Yes, I agree re: Dem *voters.* I took the OG comment about Dems as being about Dem *politicians.*
comment in response to post
Seriously? You’re going to make this racial when the number 1 killer of ALL children in the US is guns? Fucking racist
comment in response to post
Ain’t no fucking way someone is firearm ready from YouTube videos. And dry firing doesn’t teach you accuracy. This type of mentality is *exactly* why your avg American has no business owning a firearm.
comment in response to post
I took his comment as meaning Dem politicians.
comment in response to post
Let me get this straight: A truck transporting a bunch of white supremacist Nazis = fine A truck, train, boat, etc transporting a bunch of immigrants = call in ICE
comment in response to post
I agree. Dems create the class war as much as Reps do. We—but especially children and POCs—are all pawns in their fucked up power games.
comment in response to post
2A is not about personal gym stockpiles, and all of us sane Americans know that. The NRA has gone real fucking quiet now that we’re at the point that 2A is designed for.
comment in response to post
That’s rude as fuck to folks who died in gas chambers, especially since many of them fought like hell against the Nazis even without guns. Most gun owners will shit themselves and do not a goddamn thing when faced with a real threat.
comment in response to post
THIS. I’ve heard that violence with knives is much higher over there than it is here, but it’s much easier to defend against a knife than a gun.
comment in response to post
Man, I know my White-ass apology doesn’t do shit, but I am so sorry. It’s so fucked up that living in a melanated body makes life so much more dangerous.
comment in response to post
And when the people who work for them are kidnapped by ICE, they experience none of the consequences because they just get a new warm body to fill the role. They really do think humans are NPCs.
comment in response to post
I actually didn’t call for a ban on all guns, but why do you feel that is an insane thing to do?
comment in response to post
That went over my head, but my understanding is that climate is predictable based on trends over a loooong period of time, which is much easier to predict than ever-changing, very short-term weather events.
comment in response to post
The problem is that people with guns feel more empowered to be violent bullies. Also, people don't take the time to learn how to use them or secure them properly in locked safes. Guns are the No. 1 killer of children. That is fucking insane.
comment in response to post
No, but most people *don't* know how to properly use one and don't have the money to pay to learn. Also, being anti-gun doesn't mean I don't have one and/or don't know how to use one. Lastly, if a civil war happens, running out of ammo will become a real problem for trigger-happy citizens.
comment in response to post
That about sums it up
comment in response to post
Different priorities, such as lethality? illegally acting as law enforcement?
comment in response to post
Actually, you do have a choice. Just because our Supreme Court gave immunity to the position of POTUS doesn't mean that Canada did.
comment in response to post
Sure, but these other world leaders need to SAY that. Decorum died when Trump got into bed with Putin and Netanyahu. They need to call out his lies and embarrass him on national/international television. Because MAGA is watching this shit.

$1000 phones that are paid for over 3 years for roughly $15/mo. Not even remotely the same thing. Also, people can't kill someone with an iPhone (at least not easily). The price is one very small part. I do NOT want armed citizens who don't know how to fire a weapon.
comment in response to post
I feel like photo should read "living proof that humans seem to be the one species that frequently has individuals lacking compassion"
comment in response to post
This isn't even remotely possible for most people. Minimum $250 for a gun. Another ~$50 for ammo. Another $100+ for a gun safe, especially if you have children. Plus learning how to properly use it and maintain it. This country does so goddamn much to NOT end gun violence.
comment in response to post
Also, apparently the difference between weather and climate is just too damn complex for this single-brain-celled motherfucker.
comment in response to post
Here is everyone's reminder what precipitation percentages mean. If only Trump had access to the National Weather Service... www.weather.gov/ffc/pop
comment in response to post
Not just the "very religious." It's specifically Christians. Yes, jihad is a thing, but in terms of this type of violence, it's almost always a Christian nationalist. Christians have been doing this shit since the Crusades.
comment in response to post
A conservative, cis, straight, Christian, White man. Not an immigrant. Not a trans person. Not a Muslim. Not all White men, but always a fucking White man.
comment in response to post
Apparently the brain cell shared collectively by all golden retrievers did not visit them that day 😂

Officer Donuts here couldn’t catch a real perp if the fate of humanity depended on it. The tiniest of tiny dick energy from this one.

I imagine for MAGA, it’s the difference between being dead in a graveyard and being legally dead but forced to be a baby incubator like the pregnant woman in GA.

Breathing through a mask for an extended period of time can reduce blood oxygen levels as well, which would impair judgement

For the month of June, we should call them “Pride Boys.” And I bet there are many closeted LGBTQ+ individuals among them

Read some history starting with the first Nakba in 1948. Israel started every bit of this.
comment in response to post
This means that calling out Israel’s government (and many Jews and Israelis) for committing/supporting genocide in Gaza is not even remotely antisemitic. (2/2)
comment in response to post
No, “antisemitism” means “against people of Semitic origin.” “Anti-Zionism” is being against the belief that Israel has a divine right to exist and take over the entire region. “Anti-Jewish” means a hater of Jews because they are Jewish. (1/2)
comment in response to post
Palestinians are Semites and considering that Israel has been trying to rid the world of Palestinians since 1948, I think you’re leaving out a much more dangerous antisemitic and terrorist government.
comment in response to post
So a country shouldn’t have nukes because they don’t like the US? Ever stopped to think *why* they don’t like the US? Also, what makes the US so special that a country not liking it is enough to prevent them from making nuclear weapons?
comment in response to post
Fair enough. In my defense, it’s taking a lot of weed to get through life at the moment.
comment in response to post
You’re missing my point. Two things can be true: 1) this is absolutely cruel and that man is not posing a threat and 2) I bet that man could hold his own if he had to. Should he have to? Fuck no! And I wasn’t saying he should.
comment in response to post
And when those countries band together and attack Israel, what are the chances Israel says the other countries started it? 110%?
comment in response to post
“Delicate, beautiful, tiny” is an interesting way to say “White”
