3. ICE raids are a serious thing.
And especially when there are kids involved, people should be warned.
But please be careful about sharing anything that confirms your priors.
It could cause the kind of panic and anxiety that harms the people involved, the people you were trying to help.

I grew up in Springfield OH, family all still there.
My mother works w/animal rescue and she STILL parroted the lie about our Haitian immigrant neighbors eating cats, dogs, and geese.
While living there and frequenting the parks it “happened” in.
They’re hopeless, and I’m okay with that.

Weird question, but I live in SW Ohio, and my Goose-Girl Friends and I were talking about how there are hardly any baby Canadian Geese this year— is this just an us thing or are you seeing fewer babies out there? Any ideas why?

THIS is my problem though. It’s the where.
My city has implemented some questionable policing tactics in the name of public safety for all.
So why are they ONLY being used where the poor and POC live.
They’ll give all the reasons it’s good but use it to punish the poor and nonwhite.

There’s a guy on TikTok spreading bad info about those businesses being forced to close for the week.
Super frustrating because he was INSIDE one, talking to an owner and still posted false info about them.
He’s getting the views and the businesses are getting crickets.
