Unironically what I needed to hear & 1000% more useful than any of the NHS mental health services I've tried to access lately.

In school band, on stage at the opening ceremony of the country park built over a local former colliery, Richard Whitely of Countdown fame came up to the mic to do his speech and commended us on our performance. We'd just finished tuning up.

It can stay down tbh

Marge Simpson get down from there this instant

Letter from the NHS to say I'm approaching the top of the ADHD med waiting list. 2 years since being assessed, 4½ years since being referred. Mental health has declined pretty atrociously since then but I'm still here and hopefully won't have to fight a shared care battle with my GP 🤞

The more I think about this the more extraordinary it becomes. The ultimate conclusion is: "Britain was prepared to permit & facilitate the genocide of the Palestinian people to atone for Jermey Corbyn previously being leader of the Labour Party". Absolute wild

Going through ongoing MH crisis & had a visit from the crisis team Mon. 4-6 week wait for *social prescribing* in my area, an undetermined wait til the next peer support group runs, similarly vague 'a bit of a wait' for primary care MH worker. Trite at this point but NHS mental health care is broken

Labour started off this government with race riots at immigration detention centres and after thinking about it a bit have concluded that the racists are the ones in the right

Hi, Rosena, cuts to NHS libraries funding have meant that every NHS trust (including the one you work for) is about to lose access to PsycINFO, the only academic database they have that specialises in mental health. As an NHS employee yourself, you are well placed to raise this. Will you?

Labour writing Reform's campaign slogans for them

Thinking about Labour's commitments to a National Care Service under Corbyn today, and resisting the urge to set a series of small fires.

Still two hours left of the day but I think this has been the first day since she died that I've not cried? Had hoped reaching this point would feel like progress but it's mostly just guilt atm

cat's feet towel

Good thing there’s no looming care crisis or a government whose only solutions seem to be “get AI to do it” or “have you considered death”

Hope she's destroyed politically over this, maybe in a few other ways too. Unforgivable.

Six months off skates, bad back, made it to the roller disco to try & fix my fucked mental health, here goes

The final moments of episode 3 of Life is Strange left me sobbing, the question of 'if you could go back and stop you friend's dad leaving for work and getting in a fatal car accident, what would you do' being precisely what I'd obsessed over for years as a teen. The scene completely sideswiped me.

The microwave start button came loose in its housing rendering the entire thing unusable. After months of pissing and moaning, Tim & I finally dismantled the thing today, reoriented the button & got it working again. Removed two circuit boards & no one got blown up. Hire me as an electrician pls.

The very public announcement made by the incel terrorist who attacked 3 people in Leeds today. If you read his FB account, this is not an episode. It's an ideology. He announced, where, when and what weapons. In. Plain. Sight.

Partner is going through the FB page of the freak who's thankfully just had his crossbow rampage in Headingley cut short - full of Nazi shit, misogyny, idolising mass shooters going back at least as far as 2021. Full-on attack plan posted today. Thank fuck he didn't have access to proper guns.

Evil, gross, undignified, particularly horrible in how it describes trans kids, I hope there's significant non-compliance from employers & businesses & schools, and we need to be organising in our workplaces over this, right?

Very stupid, very dangerous, bonus points for laundering her bad opinions through her time spent in women's services = morally bankrupt

Agree if you're a news presenter reporter the Pope's death but otherwise it's actually fine I think to use the language you feel comfortable using to describe death, particularly if it's one that affects you closely? Don't e.g. mislead kids, but euphemism isn't always about avoiding reality or truth

For me, I will remember Francis as the Pope who called the Holy Family Church in Gaza every day as the city, and even the church itself, was bombed by Israel.

Something about this being an editorial feels especially cowardly. All the head boy and girl transphobes get to have their cake and eat it too: cheering the dismantling of trans rights, feel very Serious and Sombre whilst doing so, and not have to put their actual names to their bigotry.

He's been an MP less than a year and already forgotten that he's paid to represent the plebs not to.l lecture them to know their place. Wonder if he treats Peterbrough constituents like this, with his 118-vote margin.

Great how our political class just agreed to abandon any acknowledgement of the climate emergency and none of the rest of us get a say. Flush these clowns right down the toilet.
