The absolute horror that someone who is low income, but not low enough income, has access to health insurance.

It’s Daylight Saving time so the time should be abbreviated as 7:30 a.m. EDT and 11:00 a.m. EDT. Can we get a President that knows how to tell time?

“Sir” Winston Churchill? Is that a title we use in the US? (Actually a serious question)

11 million. And SACO will screw it up for us! (Schumer always chickens out)

But don’t worry, Schumer will find a way to kill the momentum this week.

He has a lot of faults, but Newsom is one of the best at messaging against Trump.

Didn’t Trump place tariffs on Diego Garcia?

You’d think the incident is big enough for Schumer to threaten some type of action that he’ll SACO later.

Right. You can’t explain why the DNC should give difference to somebody who’s not even a member of the Democratic party.
comment in response to

95% of Americans have zero idea about the DNC. People vote for who they think is a better candidate.

It’s funny how Bernie couldn’t beat Hillary or Biden in a primary, but you think he could have beat Trump. 🤷🏻♂️
comment in response to

So they should support someone who doesn’t even consider themselves a democrat?
comment in response to
post
I’m not a fan of the DNC, but you had a candidate who spent her life working in the party and a candidate who only IDs as a Dem in the Senate primary to keep opponents away and then switches back to being an Independent.

Hillary had to deal with BS Congressional investigations, Russian interference, you Berners dragging her from the left and throwing money at her motorcade, Jill Stein, and the Comey letter, and she still got 3 million more votes than Trump.
comment in response to

How did they fuck Bernie? Did you know Biden beat Bernie in every county in Michigan and Florida. Every single one. He wasn’t going to beat Trump in the general.

And people think this administration supports working people.

I’m old enough to remember when the right was pointing out that June was Men’s Mental Health Awareness month and now they’re attacking someone for a mental health issue.

Newsom has many faults, but he’s always been good at his messaging in fighting back against Trump and the GOP.

You’ll see post on social media by the right “Biden eats small children” and it gets shared 100k times. Someone on the left will post “Trump eats small children” and the left will fill the comments debunking it.

Not sure how you can regulate it, after Reagan got rid of the fairness doctrine. And the left did try their own network with Air America. I think the problem is the left doesn’t get sucked into emotional rhetoric like the right. And we don’t buy the BS.

..have a civilized discussion and explain how the left somehow enabled this, I honestly would love to hear it.

..filter up to big right wing radio hosts like Rush and Hannity and then onto Fox News and they beat the stories to death until the mainstream media would have to report the stories, even though they were BS. So, yeah, I have a pretty good idea of how right wing media operates. If you want to..
comment in response to

Well, you were dismissive of my statement that the GOP has media conglomerates amplifying their voices and seemed to be blaming the left for that happening. Al Franken wrote two books about how right wing radio used to be used as testing grounds for right wing talking points that would…

You think the Dems could have prevented the rise of Fox News?
comment in response to

I agree that the Dems can do a much better job at messaging, but the GOP has several cult like TV stations that will repeat their lies over and over at their disposal.

Trump is a human auto pen. His aides present him with an EO that he has clearly never seen or heard of before. They explain it to him under the guise of explaining it to the press, and he clearly doesn’t understand what the aide is saying, and then he signs it. Sounds like an auto pen to me.

The DNC should follow the George Costanza approach and do the opposite of what their gut tells them to do.

Dems need to do a better job incorporating their message into the trending topic of the day. While they’re acting like the adult in the room, no one listens.
comment in response to

Dems need to learn to take advantage of these stories. Use the fight to gain attention to the message. “Hey Donald, do you still think 11 million people should lose health care so Elon can get a tax break?”

I give to charities I like. I would probably donate if it was a local business asking for donations for a local charity. But not for Home Depot to “donate” to a major charity.

I understand they don’t get a tax credit. I learned that a few years ago in a similar conversation. But I also don’t want them looking like an angel off of my money.

True, but they’re still taking credit when they announce they donated $1 million to cancer research.

It’s health care. Why is taking away health care the first step to balancing the budget?
