Limiting it to the truly needy was commendable. Less of a burden on us, the taxpayer. Reversing this decision deserves significant backlash. Over-60s haven't "paid their dues" enough to justify this windfall; they'll get more from the state than they put in, a stark contrast for younger generations.

The idea that the over-60s 'paid their dues' and are therefore entitled to the windfall they’re now enjoying is simply not true. They're set to receive far more from the state than they ever contributed in taxes, a stark reversal for anyone under 40.

Now in retirement, this same generation is receiving massive state handouts, shifting the burden of poverty to working-age people amidst record-high taxes.

The richest generation in history continues its winning streak. Is it just a coincidence that their working prime saw record-low post-war taxes, while the generation before them struggled with poverty?

Yikes, this makes me feel old lol. I love going to Worcestershire CC with a few newspapers in hand and my podcasts whilst occasionally watching the cricket and I'm in my 30s.

That same denialism has enabled the slow, corrosive erosion of a once-great football club. Once unthinkable for some, relegation is now a major threat.

At the time, the counterargument was as naïve as it was predictable: “We won’t end up like Leeds; we’re too big to fail.”But here we are—staring down the barrel of decline—just as those who knew their onions warned we would.

For those who truly understood the game—and how it's governed—there was never any real doubt about where this would lead.

A u-turn on the WFA would be the final straw for me. Should only go to those who need it, shouldn’t be going to those who use it for their flights to Madeira.

If you’re one of those bitter, fat white women hating on passport bros, here’s a tip: hit the gym, drop the entitlement, and start taking yourself seriously. Maybe then, the men you bash for going abroad might actually find you attractive.

I feel so much guilt for being born too.

Removing the WFA from those who don't need it was just common sense. Why should people like me—working long hours and barely able to afford rent—subsidise the winter holidays of comparatively wealthy people flying to the Algarve?

Worcestershire has always been a safe Tory Council as well.

Do you think that those whose job it is to hold people like Farage to account might actually start doing that one day, instead of fawning over him?
