I absolutely disagree. widespread adoption of throttle ebikes is the key to forcing cities to invest in protected non-car infrastructure They are cheap, efficient, quiet, and 100% aligned with bikes against car-brain land use We should give one to every American child on their 10th birthday

Last thing, I'll elaborate for folks who haven't been following along for the past like 6-7 years: I travel a ton, and have noticed across the lower 48 that the places and resources normally for travelers (campgrounds, etc) are more and more often shelter of last resort for the poor now.

In Michigan the excuse is generally "fire safety" e.g. k and 1st grade classrooms must have fire exits at ground level I don't know if there is data behind it www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-...
