"Primarily peaceful protests with some acts of violence or civil disobedience do not rise to the level of a rebellion. Indeed, nothing about the scale of the protests or acts of violence set these events apart from other recent periods of significant social unrest."

Just spoke with someone who says he’s a former Marine and is horrified by today’s news re: deployment to Los Angeles. Says he’d call on any Marine sent here to stand down and refuse to heed any unconstitutional or otherwise illegal order.

I'm a very empathetic person and often understand where people I very much don't like are coming from, where their bigotry and hatred comes from. But this is so different. I feel nothing but seething hatred towards these people and see net zero value in their continued existence.

Masked ICE agents seen arriving for pickups at Chicago's immigration court in the loop this morning. They are rapidly grabbing people as they exit their court hearings here. This has been happening for weeks. So far this morning reporters inside have seen ~7 people abducted.

For instance, a good reason to fly the U.S. flag at a protest against the regime is that I think a National Guard company is meaningfully less likely to fire on a crowd full of U.S. flags.
