Did this one time. Didn't realize until I opened the door and both of the elderly people in the car looked up at me. Thankfully I didn't scare them because I heard them laughing when I took the short walk to my identical looking car lol.

It purportedly covered all the popular fads of the 20th century up to the then-current day of the 1960s. (The Batman '66 stuff I mentioned was added in the second edition.) It's the kind of book that thinks any kind of fun and anyone who likes having it is dumb. Had a lot of neat pictures though.

Oh yeah, big time. The central thrust of the book as I recall it was "people goofing off and having fun (or just enjoying life in any way) are dumb". Lot of neat photos though.

I knew about it (along with other college fads like gold fish swallowing) because my high school had a 2nd edition copy of this dusty old tome. Though my main memory of this book is the utter disgust & contempt the author had for the 1966 Batman fad for some reason. Just dripping with venom over it.

It's totally ok and normal to be sad after a loss. You're not being a burden or annoying to anyone.

This dude's what, mid 50s? Body looks like a potato and famously abuses drugs. Is he under the impression hair transplants actually reverse aging or something?

SteamOS is built on Arch isn't it? Be interesting to see if/how much that increases the userbase when people with un-upgradeable PCs begin to migrate.

Losing family is one of the hardest things there is in life. I'm sorry Max had to leave, but I'm glad you made each others lives brighter.

Pinterest posts I found seem to indicate that the name of the painting is "MELT" but who knows if that's actually true. It appears to be the cover of a paperback novel, but that doesn't narrow it down much since according to wikipedia she did over 150 of those. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey...

Their cover of "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" is also great (and very nostalgic for me) though.
