Just a few more concerts ought to do it, right?

This is a good shout. His confidence and aggression stood out to me. It's the first time I've thought, maybe there's something here after all.

Agreed. Can he not go 90? In three of the last four games, we sub him out and immediately concede two goals. Without his hold up play, a squad that can't consistently build out of the back just gets pinned and chases the game until they wear down and break.

It's the only explanation. We've searched high and low, and there's nothing else we can find that explains what is happening.

Two MLS teams that play in empty NFL stadiums doing this is funny enough that I can't be mad about it. Would rather watch this than their regular pitches 🤷♂️

Thanks for the tip to check that one out. I'm glad the national guys are giving this some attention.

Checked Colorado off the list last year. Everything but the game was a lot of fun 😆 Have a great trip and bring home a W!

Personally, I'd be delighted to show Olof some patience if we go on an Open Cup run to be proud of.

For context, 1.65 pts/gm would be 10th in the league this year. That's around Portland and Miami. Hackworth put up 1.28 last year. Carnell did 1.78 before the League's Cup break in the inaugural season.

This is an important observation. There's more red flags than just the winless streak. I think St. Louis would be a lot more patient if we had anything to cling to that points to the original vision being on track, despite the results.

This is why I struggle with the injuries excuse. Asking fans to be patient with injuries while we've waited two and a half years for Nilsson and Alm to be regular contributors is kind of offensive.

If this morning's reports don't come to pass, what's the plan? I ask this kindly. Do you think there is anything Diego or Lutz could say to clarify the vision and reinstate confidence for the fans and players?

This is a great point. It's a shame that Watts, a capable and valuable utility man, has been put in this situation. Watts is not a problem. How we've had to use him is.

Hiring Olof never felt like a good idea gone bad. From the start, it felt like a strange idea gone sour. Fans are hungry for any sort of clarity from the club, and he's the low hanging fruit.

Knicks/Pacers is going to be so toxic that it's a much-watch series even for neutrals. Pretty pumped for that one.

Not much. It would be an admission that the year is lost, so it's about giving the next coach time to evaluate the roster, a transfer window to recalibrate, and half a season to set the tone for 2026. But that hard of a rest should include other changes then, too...

Do you think there is a vision and milestones that Diego or Lutz could explain at this point that would convince fans to be patient like you suggest? Honest question, not rhetorical.

Isn't this just representative of the normal distribution of goals conceded in soccer? Most goals are scored during the second half, particularly between the 76th and 90th minutes.

This started for me two games ago. My support for the club will never end, but my budget for it can.

No matter where we're at in the table, St. Louis should be a road trip other teams hate to make. That's the promise Lutz made us from the start, and for me, it's the line of expectation that the club has dipped below.

"If you're going to be bigger than soccer, you have to be good at soccer" put the bow on a really solid discussion. Well said.

The fans can have their thing. The tifo and its story was great. But the hell is red thing? Kansas sure is comfortable playing in St. Louis, aren't they? The club has to back up the fans at some point if they want to keep printing petty banter on flags and scarves.

I've been traveling to Kansas for the rivalry long before CITY existed. I get what it means, and I know how they are.

CITY's Creative Department has become the Cringe Department. Are we already out of good ideas in year three? This is lame for so many reasons.

The quantity and price of resale tickets is depressing. We make fun on Kansas for stuff like this. My guess is a sellout, but butts in seats will tell an obviously different story.

He's from Ballwin, so I'm not surprised he hates the City.

This is the least hyped I've been for a Kansas match. Our form, late kickoff on a weeknight, and low stakes matchup take some of the fun out what should be a special date on the calendar.

Out of curiosity, what is the opponent's count of best XI available for each of those matches?

I like how you identify that the stats say we're getting in better positions than in feels, and finishing is the problem. Plus, how often would a goal have changed the game script? The question is, how much better finishing can we truly expect? A little better, but maybe not a lot better?

So which set is the representative sample? Last year, those three overperformed xG/90 by a wild 0.86. Now, they're underperforming it by 0.37. What we're seeing play out is closer to the norm as the 2025 sample grows.
