@simonwdc.bsky.social DNC needs to start an online scoreboard that keeps track of laws broken, law breakers, GDP growth, unemployment, etc. put these out into the light everyday and all day

@gregsargent.bsky.social agree w/you. We need to be everywhere and speak up. Harvard isn’t just about education. It’s also about education and immigration that is good for American businesses. 25% of enrollees is a brain drain that will be a brain gain in other countries.

Keep spreading message until we win. If we lose, it’s not because of MAGA or DT. It’s because we gave up. There will be harder days, but we cannot stop. Take breaks when you can.

Every democratic leader needs to hold an event and highlight this letter in their district, state, and super region. Let that be the news cycle

@simonwdc.bsky.social after this weeks hearings / budget talks, as well as the Oval Office shit show, it’s time for the letter to America that is the connective tissue to all of the incompetence, wrecking of our values, and overall destruction of our economic power. Let’s then highlight path forward

And yes reputations improve. Germany is a highly influential member of NATO. We don’t need to go point for point. Point is leaders lead through art of possible versus saying game is over during first quarter. Let’s keep going. I have my down days and need energy from others as much as everyone

And yes reputations improve. Germany is one of must influential NATO members and has been for a long time. We don’t need to go point for point. My point is leaders rally around the art of possible versus saying the game is over in first quarter. Let’s keep rallying together. Don’t let them divide

To answer your question. Many authoritarian leaders have fallen. Julius Caesar was first.

I’m not your enemy despite your cynicism and causticity towards me. I’m glad to hear you’ve been fighting for progress since you were 16. Democracy is as much an idea about progress as it is a form of government. Yes we are in tough times, the story isn’t over. Hope is contagious as is optimism.

Why do people continue to say such definitive things such as “never.” Defeatism. We must keep fighting, trying, etc. if we don’t recover, it’s because we gave up, not because of T or MAGA.

@ianbremmer.com I read your thoughts on Trump having a good week on stage. Yet he is taking bribes and even more corruption with his family and CEOs like Elon. A good week for thee for sure. Let’s not normalize it.

@thebulwark.com can we please focus on the bigger problems right in front of us? even if Chuck answered the question and acknowledged the wrong, what does that solve? We have 1 mission right now. Only 1 and we know what that is. Thank you for what you do.

Also not optimistic, but would love to see more public calls for W Bush to come out. His whole foreign policy was centered on democratic freedoms. Compassionate conservatism.

@mollyjongfast.bsky.social no some ways they are trying. But we as a group of citizens need to do more. We have more power and tools through rallies, boycotts, defiance, etc than Democrats do. We must understand that shadow hearings are helpful but don’t stop anything if regime sees citizen apathy

@scaramucci.bsky.social even on Gilligans Island they listened to the professor and not the millionaire.

@simonwdc.bsky.social do you believe these are real cracks amongst republicans related to budget, etc? So far, they express “concerns” on nominees, budget, etc. and then vote straight up along party lines.

I think we are at phase where they like to break things and do the media rehab tour after. I’m in the phase now where I only look at actions and not words before, during, or after.

This is what we’ve heard about it for weeks. Now they’re creating the narrative for something they’ve already planned so they can do it.

Issue polling doesn’t support that but it is first thing that hit every American. It was the wake up call

@stevenbeschloss.bsky.social I think they’re deciding but people need more examples of how, when, etc to make a difference. Having never been in this position: we don’t know what to do all the time with constant chaos and too many opinions flood action plans

@timmiller.bsky.social @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social first thank you for the work you do. 2nd, yes media stuff is worrisome. But also they’re already out of business. You all and others are the new face. And when I listen to your interviews with political figures, it’s more honest and real than media

Would it be good idea for Dems to start dividing and conquering the areas (health, economy, state department, etc) where is the shadow government?

I get that. I have same thoughts. I also know I need them on my team as soon as possible so that’s my approach.

What’s more important than wanting their acknowledgment of a mistake, is that they feel invited and welcomed to the opposition. I told you so’s is not going to help.

@scaramucci.bsky.social sure. We all know the GOP is not interested in anything but total dismantling and consolidation of power. Once we get back to something that resembles a democratic state, then we can talk about nuance of policies. First thing first. Eye on ball.

@jvl.bsky.social gotta find a way out of the hole. I get it. It’s dark. find a way to connect to hope and action beyond the cycle you’re in. Make 1 video a day where you showed action or took action and others can follow. I don’t know just talking out loud because I value you and need you in fight

@reedgalen.bsky.social I’m so angry. We can’t wait until midterms. Their actions are too rapid and consequential. This is insane. What can we do? We need not just rapid response but something tangible.

We survived many many years without technology. Yes there are many benefits, there will be more. I never dream of new or more tech thought. at the moment, technology and algorithms have reduced our discernment. The focus is fighting for the moral, economic, and health of our country/world.

Marc, did you just get off a call? I agree but can we first prioritize stopping the dismantling of our democracy, preventing next pandemic, continuing to fund critical operations, and preventing domestic/foreign terrorism? All things have been made weaker.
