Well, with mail ads you can target really granularly (by zip code, income, party affiliation, etc). With tv or radio you can't target that way (although w/ streaming & asynchronous watching, things may have changed. IDK), so if you're within the TV or radio market you're going to get them, too.

I'm in Jersey, so I have no vested interest in this race. But that's wild. And what makes it even worse is that-- thanks to you-- I've JUST learned there's a woman running for Mayor (haven't heard "boo" from any of the local MSM). At this point I thought it was essentially Cuomo/Mandani/Stringer.

Is it possible that all this saber-rattling at Iran is (at least) partially fueled by the public emasculation he received by these other world leaders? And now he feels he has to act tough as a form of "I'll show THEM who's a real man"? Vanity and insecurity can be powerful motivators.

I hope so. I posted a pic on IG of the AP story when it first broke out & tagged a whole bunch of our local news ppl (and a couple of the nationals) basically imploring them (and calling them out a little) to cover this with the urgency & seriousness it requires. I hope they read & listened.

I saw a clip online (IG?) last night of a lone, squeaky old tank rolling by what could best be described as a quiet, anemic bunch (not even a “crowd”). The bleachers shown were half-full, if that. A perfect encapsulation of the “event”.

And like already said elsewhere (and @kim.senate.gov, along with @booker.senate.gov, is one my senators, and I really hope he sees this and acts accordingly). We're way past the point of speeches and condemnations. Both chambers-- Senate and House-- need to DO SOMETHING NOW. Not talk. Act. DO.
