Yeah, something definitely quit working in his head. A good MRI will likely show some clear damage. The man needs rehab and therapy, not a job in DC.

I drove through southern Missouri yesterday. Got caught up in a big trump MAGA parade. Rebel flags, hate, bigots everywhere. THERE IS NO COMMON GROUND WHEN BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVILITY AREN'T SHARED VALUES.

I was an adult before I saw The Goonies. It is pretty good. I've never seen The Big Lebowski or The Breakfast Club.

I didn't like coming to that conclusion, but yeah. He is, by far, the most profound disappointment in my lifetime.

Did the residents not elect their governor and mayor?

My best friend growing up is a Mexican-American. He recently retired as a full-bird Colonel from the Army and is one of the best people anyone could ever know. We are better as a country because of people like him. Bigots suck.

At some point things are going to go really sideways. I'm thinking this as I live in a state where anyone can carry a gun, we're a castle doctrine, stand your ground state and even a leftist like me owns weapons...

Thank you for speaking truth.

Nah. He's a bigot. Don't want or need anyone like him.

What can y'all do about it?

Easy enough. Quit drinking that swill 40 years ago. Ew.

Can we please stop this adventure?

After a couple cross country moves, my amps need some care but I'm terrified to even touch them. I don't want a capacitor to kill me.

I agree.

This is bad. Really, really bad, right?

Our youngest, now 7, has been training in Taekwondo since he was 4. I don't ask him to punch me.

Great songs, great voice, phenomenal guitar tone. One of the great ones that still had so much to share.

Returning the gift. We've got a bunch of lilies in our back deck that are beautiful!

Got to listen to the cat hacking during the night. Forgot about it until staggering to the bathroom this morning.... that'll wake you up in a real hurry.

It's the seal of the Tennessee flag.

We take grilling/smoking pretty seriously around here. I'm not a huge Dead fan but I like a few tunes. Uncle John's Band and Friend of the Devil are both songs I enjoy playing and singing.

I'm married to a type-1 diabetic. We've discussed that these guys just want her to die. And we don't like them for this and myriad other reasons.

We have ordered coffee from Bones many times. There's been a few that we haven't really liked, but overall they make a decent brew.

I'll look. I live right outside Nashville. So far I haven't visited any of the really nice guitar shops. This is due to my not wishing to be dead if I made an unauthorized purchase. But both my kids are learning guitar, so there's hope!

Just a reminder, all of us in Tennessee aren't complete idiots. Just most of us... jeebus....

1980 was a rough year for 10 year old me. There was an episode of Buck Rogers called "Space Vampire" with a soul-sucking vampire that horrified me. That same year, there was a terrible movie released called "Without Warning." Never saw the movie, but saw the trailer at the drive-in. Traumatized.

To me, just knowing something is aware of all aspects of my life is the opposite of unobtrusive, by design!

I loved living in Austin. I was single then. I'm married with kids now, and as fucked up as Tennessee is, no way I'd move back to Texas.

Definitely. Starting the day with Astrid the dog and coffee on the front porch with the trees and birds. Beautiful day!

We have 2 chest freezers in our garage and a few multi-shelf storage units. All are well stocked.

As a collective, we suck. There's always individual greatness and that's what makes this existence worthwhile.
