Should regulators double down on risky tech or diversify? This new paper shows surprising results: when harms are uncertain, ex-post liability often beats heavy-handed bans, guiding AI innovation toward safer paths without stifling progress.

Objectively, my analysis of the economic value of Tesla is that its best chance of long-term viability is the prompt removal of Musk and the BoD. Then it should be taken over or the company gambles on a roll out of a popular lower priced EV. If that fails, Tesla will be bankrupt.

Now Musk’s political relationships with Trump, other Republicans, and Democrats are in ruins. The Austin robotaxi rollout this month will be inconsequential. So who is propping up the stock which is fairly valued below $10/s?

$TSLA is currently trading at $295/s, higher than the price just before Trump was elected. What has happened in the interim: Musk personally and Tesla have toxic branding. Quarterly and annual sales declines. Cybertruck is a monumental bust. Model Y refresh has fizzled. The China market is lost.

While the OpenAI type of AI has specific benefits, like augmented searches under skilled human supervision of medical data and imagery, it can also be a weed infestation of intellectual gardens of thought. Misused it’s industrial scale plagiarism and fabrication using massive amounts of electricity

Can Tesla survive effectively only selling in the U.S.? Obviously, the Shanghai and Berlin plants must eventually close.
