There was plenty of racism, but it was different. The open, proud racism was rare, at least compared to today. Racism was something to be ashamed of, and overcome. Lots of paternalistic racism for sure, as opposed to the mean-spirited kind.

It’s also the wedge that alienates some of that demographic group from the some of the people closest to them - friends, family, etc. To speak in broad terms, you’re absolutely right. I can’t shake the thought, when I’m in a group of random white people, that most of them are most likely Trumpers.

United Healthcare has denied my claims for THREE prescription drugs in less than two months. My old insurance company maybe denied that many in 24 years. FUCK United Healthcare, and I dare them to sue me, I got receipts.
